Actually, federal law says that it is ILLEGAL to remove your airbag.
Will you get in any trouble if you do? Probably not, unless your state inspector wants to be the biggest ***** ever.
I'm not aware of any law against roll cages. If you install a full cage be aware that in case of an accident, there is a HUGE risk of hitting your head on the bar right over the doorway. The only way to make a cage as safe as possible is with a helmet and padding on the bars. Without the helmet, expect head injuries in a major accident.

why, the cage? really. unless your going to go track almost everyday of your life no point in it. think safety first, get strut bars front and rear and sway bar front and rear that'll be fun and much safer. if your going to go to the track and blah blah then by a means i respect. if not really just a waste of money!! your call anyways

I'm not trying to play you or anything dude, just was saying it's really not worth putting your self at risk if that's your daily driver i don't know if it's not? like i said it's your car your choice I'm just trying to help. if i were you i would check the law in your state many are different don't know what kinds of trouble you could get in if caught with one?

A roll cage in a street driven car is MORE dangerous than without a cage, unless you are wearing a helmet. Are you going to wear a helmet everything you drive? You have no idea of the potential head injuries... I cannot stress enough that a helmet is meant to be used in conjunction with a cage.
Please do not fool yourself or others into thinking that a roll cage in a street car without a helmet is safer. Especially just any ol' cage.

Re: is this street legal
Anyone have a link to the fed law on this, is it for drivers only or does it include passenger bags?
I was under the impression it was illegal to sell your car without informing the buyer that you removed the airbag, also for liability reasons you should inform those who sit in a seat that has an airbag removed.
Never heard it was illegal to remove an airbag.

Now, how exactly are strut bars and thicker sway bars going to make a car SAFER? Strut and/or sway bars do absolutely NOTHING for your safety during in accident.

the air bags are not part of a wv state inspection and in the rules for the seatbelts it states that you must have belts installed if the car is under a certan age limit.. i think its 1960. i have my inspection liscence for w.v and ive never failed/seen anyone fail because of seatbelts, no station actually checks them

I suppose I should have been more clear, but only the comment about the suspension was directed towards your comment. The rest (about the roll cage) was directed towards the OP.
