Default 1996 accord v6 transmission reliability

Hello fellow members..I'm looking to buy a 1996 accord ex v6 with 88k...I'm just wondering if these transmissions have the same problems as the odyssey's..trust me..I had to replace one in my 05...the car has been sitting for 10 years and was parked because the rocker arm or tappet..would keep falling off...I no nothing about these 2.7 so please any advice would be appreciated..

The C27 came out of the Acura Legend. It had a decently long run and the 5th gen Accord was the last vehicle it was used in. Meaning they had worked out vast majority of the issues by then. It should be good and reliable. It doesn't suffer from the same issues that the early J series transmissions did.

Since it's been sitting for 10 years...it's gonna need some work getting it back up to running condition though. Would make a good daily driver if you feel like a project.

Wonder why the rocker would keep falling off though..that was why it was parked..

$200 for 88k is indeed a great deal. Would be a shame to rip that car apart for the interior.

My guess on the rocker would be somebody didn't know what they were doing when they worked on it. I've never heard of these engines having any issues like that. They are typically very reliable.
