1990 accord speed sensor
My speedometer keeps dropping dead then kicking in. At first it would just drop ten mph then kick in again. When it does that it will kick cruise off too. Is that good enough indication that the speed sensor is bad. the check engine light comes on after the speedo is dead for a few seconds and the "s" light starts flashing. FEED ME

Your speed sensor is gone. I had the same.
I got lucky at a local bone yard and found one with a new one in it. They let me pull it for $5.
Even a used one will do. It has two 10mm bolts that hold it in and one wire clip with two clip release tabs. One to hold it to the metal tab, second to hold the clips together. Then it just comes right up. But keep an eye out. There is a little metal shaft in there. If you drop it and dont have another then you are scre. wed.
Its not that hard to get too. On some models you have to move the shifter bracket, two bolts also and does not mis-align anything. On other models the EGR is in the way to get it with out a wrench and/or crows foot wrench.
Best of luck.

Crows foot wrench will work best for that.
