@ejonepowered well hats off to ya for keepn your z6 alive, mine just passed 230k gona need another timing belt and water pump soon, compression checks out strong still though the mileage is beginning to scare me, all moving/electrical exterior components have been replaced multiple times during its lifetime (prev owner was original owner kept all records) , including alternator, dizzy etc, and all the usual tune up parts (plugs, wires, various hoses/lines/yada) but the engine itself has never been cracked open besides for the valve cover gasket, but the head has never been off the block, and she still gets well over 30mpg and runs strong enough to chirp 2nd when i (occasianally) beat on her. And paradise is good at hiding imperfections lol i know what you mean, and i feel the same way about 50/50 tails.

We finally got the car done being wet sanded, buffed and cleaned. Its amazing what some sand paper and rubbing compound can do to a cars appearance.

^^^ looks good, hood is a bit much though, and id ditch that dinky plastic radiator with no fan for a dual row aluminim unit w/slim fan soon or that motor wont last long especially if you plan on boosting, i assume it has clearance issues that need to be worked out, other than that

You're not running a h2b header... How did you run the exhaust to fit?

Car doesn't have an H2B...has an h23 trans. Exhaust is ran like a normal exhaust lol, has an Apexi N1 canister on the back.

Not feeling that hood either, but looks good other than that

Maybe you've already mentioned it, but is your motor stock or...? Feedback on your experience with it? I've been kicking around the idea of making the jump to an H series at some point from the b16 I'm currently running.

Thanks broski! I'm glad everything went smoothly as well, except lately where the car will idle right above zero, but not enough to stall. Starting to get on my damn nerves.

What's new with you? Still got the S2K or did you hop into another car? jk

H22a4
87.5mm Bore
Darton Sleeves with a KMS Block Gaurd welded in for extra strength
8.5:1 Wiesco Pistons
Eagle Rods (big bolt)
Balanced Rotating Assembly
Blue Printed Bottom End
Stock Head
Modified H22 Intake Manifold (Butterflys Removed)

So far so good, I know I want to get the Kaizenspeed timing tensioner at some point. If you are going to go H series I would look into H2B as the H series transmissions suck, also if you plan on moddifying the engine you might as well plan on sleeves, the FRM sleeves they come with stock suck.

Id take a b16 over a H anything but thats just my preference and driving style. Ive been curious of how an h2b setup in my coupe would feel, but ill take some extra rpms over the extra displacement, but if/once u get rid of the shitty long geared H tranny and go h2b that engine will rip our lil chassis around like nothin.

Yeah, I've heard that about the trans, so I would more than likely go the h2b route. How much power/tq are you putting down on that setup or have you had it on a dyno?

It's really about the torque for me, and the fact that I could piece it together for wayyyy cheaper than going with a K. I don't mind the little bit of extra weight going from a B series to a H series since I've already lightened the car up quite a bit. I'm not set on anything though, just looking at my options I guess. I'm in the need of more power though!

@ ej1bmx i definetly feel u there, i would way rather piece together a nice h2b setup than spend money on a k swap, not to mention having to modify the sheet metal to accept the cable shifter... I really dont like the feel of a cable shifted transmission to be honest, very numb.

I've been looking around and it looks like things have changed quite a bit as far as H series compatibility goes.... and since I'm already B series, I'd have $700 into a h2b kit that lets me run B series mounts, axles, halfshaft, and trans... All I'd need to do is find a long block and a h2b header (or have one modified to work). Hmmmmmm

^^^ sounds very tempting, i wonder how appx 40 extra ftlbs and horsepower would feel through a b16 lsd tranny, my guess is extremely fun.

HP/Tq is unknown, it pulls pretty well considering it as such low compression and no turbo yet. The wife is planning on buying s300 and tuning it so the turbo kit will be on here soon. I personally hate everything B16, even the transmissions. If I were to do H2B it'd get a GSR trans with either a Quaife or MFactory.

Who do you plan on having tune it?

But yeah, understandable. I'm a little tight on funds and got a lot of other stuff on my plate, so this is something that would happen over time and I'll just keep rocking the b16 until I have accumulated everything . Eventually, I'd like to end up with an ITR trans with 4.7 fd if I plan on staying n/a.

Alignment today, camber is right where i thought it would be after lowering, toe was way off, noticeably so, got the toe out removed from the front and got a little toe in on the rear for stability. Very happy, no more darting with road changes and cruising at 80 feels very stable.

my friend who had the horizon grey ITR coupe on steelies I posted a while back recently sold his car and came across a pretty good deal on a 95 H22a Ex coupe. It wasn't what he was really looking for so he already has it for sale, but here are some pictures
