yes, and it still is tinted the same way today. didn't want people to notice what's inside - since windows get smashed often over here.

Its a Nissan Cefiro (code: A31) - there's an RB26DETT engine under the hood, from an R32 skyline (they usually come with RB20DE engines stock, but in Japan, I heard they come with RB20DET, and RB25DET engines)

its actually a 200SX.
Guess I have to explain myself befor there's huge confusion.
When Nissan Thailand decided to sell this car here, they called it the 200SX - which came stock with an automatic 1.8l turbo engine (CA18DET). In Japan, they're called the 180SX, and they came stock with an SR20DET engine.
To me, a Silvia looks nothing like a 180/200SX does. I have seen one LHD 240SX running around here (guess some thai guy who was studying in the states decided to bring it back here) - looks very weird. The back looks like an S13 Silvia, yet the front looks something like a 180/200SX. After seeing that, I now understand why all you people like to call them Silvias.
Anyway... the car you people are talking about is nothing special. Has an SR20DET with a few other things. He just got the car and just started working on it.

180sx is the Fastback
200sx is the fastback in a few countries.
the US sold S13/RHS13's with the pop up headlights. called the 240 for the motor.
180sx did have the ca180det and also carried the sr20det in later years.
The coupe is usually called the "Onevia" or the 180-silvia. if the front end is reversed, its the sil 80, silvia front, 180 back.
gotta love the 240s
