Re: (a_s_ol_)
I know that camber isnt the only thing that eats tires.. Toe will do alot do alot of damage aswell.. but i know that when you lower you car to the extent of most cars on this thread you will have camber wear'd tires.. and a aligngment will not fix that
and if your so smart.. instead of calling me stupid.. prove the point your trying to make

Re: (PatrickGSR94)
Timmay why don't you ask the other members here that are slammed without camber kits and and aligned how quickly they eat tires?
Pretsol for example went for about two years on a set of tires without problems, and he probably had the most negative camber out of anyone.
I have camber kits on my car purely for aesthetics, but once I get around to it I'm going to camber the wheels in between 1.5 and 2.0 degrees

First, its caster, and that has **** to do with eating tires, so just put that faggity baby to bed right there. Since you know everything, dont forget SAI or Steering Axis Inclination as well, Cause thats a somewhat crucial element to an alignment.
Second, to shut everyone else up. Camber will cause uneven wear in tires, but toe is what really eats the **** out of them at a fast rate, because you are basically dragging one tire along as you drive.
Basically out of the two, toe is the worst for pwning tires, and we are talking like new set of tires in the front every few weeks/maybe a month or two. Camber will just wear the inside edge of the tire, but not as fast as toe will. I had my ES100's on from july-december, doing well over 200 miles of driving a week, and then I rocked them from march-july again without any serious wear in the tires. You could tell the inside was wearing faster than the outside, but that wear was limited to the inside only, and there were no steel belts showing or even close to anything showing. So if you cant afford a new set of tires every year, then I pity your job

i never said it doesnt help.. i just said there is no point in trying to get my car on any local alignment rack, and the fact that i adjust my coilovers alot
all i know is even after alignments camber can still wear tires..
but whatever.. im not gonna sit here and argue with Honda-tech know it all's over the internet

Got it right on the map. All camber does it just cause un-even wear. Toe kills the **** out of your tire life if not set right.

If your going to do all that without getting an alignment done, then, not matter what ride height your at, you will eat tires. Most places usually give you like a 6month to a year warranty. So within that time frame, when you can make an adjustment, just go back and get it re-done.

I will have to check my papers and books, but since when do lowering springs affect your tie rod ends? When I slammed my car, my toe remained the same, only the camber was effected.
But yes, up for more cars
