Its not loud and ricey like a fart can ( Apexi N1). It sounds mean like an N1 car at the track, but very loud if you're rocking a 4-1 header and test pipe. Its not your typical exhaust.

EVERYONE WITH A REAR SWAY BAR... GO CHECK YOUR SUBFRAME
i happened to be messing with my car in the garage over the weekend when i came across this scary sight
my first reaction as i was laying on the ground under my car was "oh hell no!" as flashbacks of old threads and posts ran through my head. after 3 years of running the beaks kit rear itr sway bar with "reinforcement plates" my subframe finally gave way. unf**king believable...
my rear suspension setup consists of up top: area51 x brace, benen platform brace, and benen strong bar
lower half: srr control arms, benen lower tie bar, and beaks rear sway bar
the rear sway bar basically ripped the subframe section off where is connects on the drivers side. i have since removed my sway bar and have no moved onto to trying to figure out how i am going to deal with this issue. i have heard from a few other people that rewelding and reinforcing the stock subframe may not be the best idea due to it possible ripping again. so i am left with the couple options of replacement. option #1 is to go with a 99-00 si coupe rear subframe and option #2 is to go with a ctr rear subframe. either i'm sure is not going to be cheap to replace
anyways, i'm not trying to bash the beaks kit, it did serve me well for 3 years. although, if i knew something like this was going to happen to me, i would have taken a different route. i just wanted to give everyone a heads up to be careful when running a rear sway bar on your 96-99 ek hatches because the subframe is so thin. be sure to run a reinforcement plate like asr or comptech to avoid damage and this BS that i now have to deal with.
on with the pics...

ASR reinforcement kit FTW!!!!
(on a serious note) sorry to hear about the beaks kit...I originally bought it for my hatch but sold it when I saw the asr kit come out
subframe repair is fucken expensive...I believe CTR is better than si but that **** ain't easy to come by
