Yes and it'll hook to the orange wire on the aftermarket radio. This wire tells the radio that the headlights are on. It doesn't really "dim" the display like it does with the dash light dimmer wheel. When the orange wire senses a signal, the stereo will change it's display settings so it won't be so bright.

So to light some gauges, I should tap into the orange wire instead of the red/black wire? I don't remember seeing an orange wire as I am using the stock deck/stock wiring harness?? Thankyou for your input

I talked to one of his friends a few months ago who also lives in FL. Apparently he still has it, just isn't into the scene like he used to be....taking a looooong break I guess? See ya soon for mucho

Use the red wire from your radio for lighting the gauges. That's the 12v ignition and it'll power the gauge lighting when the key is in the acc position.
So to light some gauges, I should tap into the orange wire instead of the red/black wire? I don't remember seeing an orange wire as I am using the stock deck/stock wiring harness?? Thankyou for your input
