alright then... My hatch wont even go into gear with the engine running. I push started it and forced it into gear... once it warmed up it would go into gear a bit easier. I filled the clutch fluid resevour... It wasn't doing this before I parked it. The clutch pedal is going down to the floor before barely engaging.

Is this just the pedal needing to be adjusted? Do I need to bleed the lines? or is it worse than that?

Now on a more thread related note, the sedan seems to be leaking various fluids. I noticed that the brakes were softer than when I got it leading me to find that the brake fluid was low... filled that up and its back to normal... While trying to find where that is leaking from I find a brand new small spot of fluid on the passenger side of the engine... I see green drops dripping from the tranny... So now I know that it is in fact leaking coolant from somewhere... I checked all the hoses/lines I could reach and didn't see anything...

t sits a little bit funny, because the bolts are still in the lip, so i dont know if i should cut them and use double side tape(would it be strong enough?) Or drill holes in my trunk(which i dont want to )

opinions?

Looks good from far away... Get it mounted flush and we'll see. Its a bit narrow.

It looks great except for it being a bit narrow, like change said. I would try the tape and see how it holds up. If you're unsure at all you definitely don't need to drill any holes.

yea thats what i am thinking of doing, but if i want to paint it black, lets say, it will be harder to take it off.

And once i cut the bolts thats it, they r gone

dont drill holes in your trunk, if you decide to remove it later, you're gonna have to fill the holes with weld which required grinding body work painting. use tape, adhesive is simple to remove, if you cut the bolts off and regret it, im sure its easier to find another jetta lip than having to fill the holes

It was just some generic stuff from the auto parts store. I would try to find some extra strength stuff somewhere. I mainly just put it on there to hold them in place while I put the screws in. You might ask vega_rocks what he recommends. He says people install those J's Racing/Chargespeed wings on the EF hatches with double sided tape.

Would look better if you kicked it up a notch and did some fabbing on it. Extend it and build grooves to match the contour of the 4dr.

ttt.

Got two EF2 front lips and three ED9 ones from the local wrecker today. Had a play with the EF2 ones and it fits fine..... but.....it doesn't look right. The lip is kinda narrow/shallow and doesn't seem to accentuate the front as much as I hoped.

However I noticed a whole bunch of DA ones of different variety's. One of interest was a DA1 lip which appeared to sit a lot deeper? (around 60mm + ?? ). Can someone tell me which DA font lips they have tried and which model DA lips look best on our EF sedans?
