oldschoolfreak - yes I have decided in your favor
to answer the question about it being an auto...yes it was but now it's got a Si tranny with clutchmaster's dualfriction setup, only thing missing now is a linkage and i'll be straight. it's so nice to peek inside the car and see a clutch pedal
the reason I have gutted everything out is my team VERSATILE is all about the streets and we're all about making nasty street cars. this will be my dd for now but come end of summer i'll be buying another sedan to use as my daily.
Leaders please vote on prospects!!!!!

Nice
So that pic is old? It looks like its just missing a clutch.. in that pic had you already replace the automatic's standard brake pedal? or did they just come like that.. Coz usually brake pedals in autos are twice the width for some reason.

OK.
<FONT SIZE="2">2 things to write up...
the first is easy. Here's my full write up on swapping out drums for disc brakes.

2nd. painting your tails if you have the 90-91 model.

1. remove all of your tails from the car.
2. mask or remove the the black plastic trim on the outside of the tails.
3. score the lenses with 600 or 800 grit wet/dry sand paper
4. apply 2-3 even coats of "Krylon Red Stained Glass Paint". These can be bought at a local craft store, like Michaels or possibly Walmart. or online
http://store.artcity.com/paint....html
5. use 1200 grit or finer wet/sand paper once the tails have dried. If you want to keep the paint for a longer period apply another coat. When dry repeat this step and then wipe dry with non linting cloth...
6. Make sure that you use a good cloth when drying the lenses. I've used a product called "tack paper" I think this is what its called, I'll double on that. but it helps to keep lint off.
7. finally get that clear arcrylic can and get at least 2 coats. let it dry.
8. do a final sanding with 1200 or higher grit. let it dry and do a final coat.</FONT>

Do you guys still have the plastic trunk floor that was under the carpet? I think thats the stupidest thing to make a trunk floor out of. Mines all twisted and sags when anything heavy is on there. Have you guys replaced it with anything?.. ( i know some of you's have taken it out, but i kinda need mine)</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah - mine looked like old stained cardboard with a metal hinge, and it sagged bad. I used the stock board as a template and cut a new one out of a light press wood, added a couple of new hinges, sprayed the bottom with a sound deadner, and painted the whole thing flat black. Works alot better now when I put alot of stuff in my trunk - important for us daily drivers. I'll take some pics this weekend.

i just would like an explaination so that i can understand more of where your coming from.
again not hatin, just confused

I don't think I'll strip my EF but I strip my EG once in a while and the weight makes a big difference. When all the seats, rear panels, and system is out - it feels way lighter and picks up quicker. Its half stripped now.

Here's the Corner Light DIY. Again use my link to order the Krylon Stain Glass Paint...Be sure to order the ORANGE, not the yellow. The yellow makes your stocks come out in 2 different colors and that isn't quite the look you want. The only way to tell that you have the orange can is to look at the bar code, just above it will be the stamped color "ORANGE". I say this only because the can for Yellow and Orange have the same exact color cap. So be carefull...otherwise you'll be like trying to mix orange and red at the same time while spraying....NOT EASY!!!!

Without further delay, here's the DIY.

Also, EF_anthony, just a quick question, do your turn signals still look orange after youve tinted em?... Kinda sounds lame, but id like to be on the good side of the law, atleast until after im off my provisional licence.

I just got back from a meet/cruize. Some STIs, some jdm front dc2s, an evo, some slivias, and some civics among other things...
It was ok. We just went from parking lot to parking lot around town. There was this *** in a sentra that was yelling **** at me from inside his car but he didnt say a word to me once we stoped.
I saw a new Honda fit as well. Interesting little car.
I was having trouble witht he brakes all night. I had my foot on the floor and it just wasnt stopping. I also dont have a rear view mirror so I really had to watch my ***.

It looks totally stock looking..the only difference is that the turn signals appear to be well "RED". Some cars actually have all red turn and brake signals.
*
you'll be fine...but don't bank my word...If your worried about a ticket then stick with what you have. I've never had a problem, and lets just say I wasn't pulled over for the tail lights being red.
