I do admit having to downshift to 3rd sometimes to get the car moving up a hill.

Wrecked car photos

looks like the apron and rad support are gone... that sucks.. I wouldnt bother fixing it. It's not worth it. Unless you just slap new sheet metal on it, cuz by hammering on it, heating it etc you ruin the metal. So you'd have to cut it out and weld it in with factory pinch weld locations.

Yeah, I won't get that involved. If anything, I'll just throw new sheet metal on it. More than likely I'm in the market for another sedan shell though.

i've done some catching up to see how things go around here. i've spent the last couple of weeks in my free time skimming through the last 270 pages. now on to my "bio": i picked up sedan last winter with a blown engine for $100. i bought it because the body was in AMAZING shape for the cost. i already had a donor dx longblock from a buddy's 93 hatchback. when me and my friend do engine swaps for people, we usually keep the stock engine as partial payment. this d15 sat around OUTSIDE for months and months. i pulled it part, cleaned the water out of it, swapped all the ef parts over to it (dpfi manifold, auto tranny, sensors, etc.) and threw it in. cranked on it for a while and VIOLA! it fired up. the car has basically been daily driven ever since! in the next week or two, the rig will be upgraded with suspension and blue DA seats. over the next couple of months (after i get my project del sol on the road) it will gain an oem-component ls/vtec build, auto-manual conversion, obd-1/mpfi conversion, wheels/tires, and possibly a two-tone scheme with black and s2000 sazuka blue, as well as some fender flares. anyway, i'd like to join the squad! i have a number request though...i'd like to be #138, because of my slight obsession with the misfits haha. let me know what everyone thinks!!

sorry for the shitty sidekick photos...

Default Re: (E-AT_me)

its pretty easy.
what i did with mine was
1) Aircraft Paint Remover ( i used the spray can its easier )
2) let the paint remover do its work ( 10-20 minutes )
3) scrub off the stuff
4) wash it down
5) dry it with a cloth
6) use mothers polish or something like that
7) polish it even more
8) and your done.

that was my way. takes about 2 hours to get the whole thing done. all 4 wheels
