The interior was in really good shape, everything worked, auto seatbelts and cruise control, power windows and locks, engine was clean as a mother and didnt make a single tick and zero leaks. Timing belt and water pump and new clutch done, new tires etc etc. I am super stoked.

I gave him a deposit and wrote out a bill of sale and pick it up tomorrow morning since my wife is off and can take me out there. I mean I payed a premium for it but it was like a diamond in the rough and the last 3 that I have looked at around my area have been COMPLETE piles of crap so I was willing to pay more, the new tires and upkept maintenance and clutch and smooth motor and a/c helped too. ha

Ill be working on the interior and the exterior throughout the year but I dont plan to swap it until maybe the end of next year, well see. Working on opening my own paint shop but its alot of money to front so the car will be coming second after pursuing trying to open a shop, but I gotta tinker during the year to keep me sane.ha

will post some pictures later and of course updates throughout, looking forward to getting back into this car.
good find

well since i have no job and no money, i haven't been able to do anything to my car except put gas in it. so i've been tending to the other cars. cleaned the engine bay on the audi b/c it was filthy and finally moved the land cruiser to the driveway and cleaned it inside and out. hasn't been cleaned since like january. before shots would have been a lot better. lots of spider webs everywhere

so I drove the sedan 70 miles today running around town and picking up parts. I had no issues outside of the vibration from the wheel bearings.

It really surprised me. I have a d15b6 paired up to a si trans, and at 70mph I was running at 2800rpms. I just remember it being shorter than that, its been over a year but for some reason with my a6 and y7 I remember being around 3500 at 70...

fill tank, zero trip meter, run it down, fill tank again, divide miles on trip meter by gallons you put in the tank.

I totally scored at the Junk yard and found a DA with these clean seats!
the driver side has a tear but its only on the cloth and not the foam.

Is there any advice I should take into account before I do a seat pan swap?
ALSO

I scored a FREE spinner **** and Grant steering wheel.

Buy a proper seat? Proper buckets sit you real low, and you could swap it back to your stock seat for when you want to cruise around.

I missed my sedan... I saw another one on the highway today and we ended up cruising together for a ways, it was awesome.

I just got back from the local meet and it started to heat up as I pulled into the driveway so I guess that is something to figure out tomorrow

this bucket is as low as i could weld the bracket to make it sit. still i barely have 2 finger clearance to the headliner. i can drive and cruise with the seat, im just saying when i do go to the track, i cannot wear a helmet as required for turbo cars.

I know you're tall but that's redic. Maybe start looking into different style seats? I'm just shy of 6ft and i can barely see over the dash in my mates ED, there's probably a good 6"s head clearance with his bucket seat.

Those side moldings are different looking, not really my cup of tea, but I'm sure if someone would make them look good, you probably would.

Are those wheels on that red sedan those ESM 80's wannabe wheels?

Side note - anyone sweating Tropical storm/Hurricane Isaac?
