Re: The Official EF Discussion Thread
Apparently, people referring to EDs as EFs is a pet peeve for this guy. He posted something similar in the EF sedan thread. What he doesn't realize is that the EF reference is universal for '88-'91 Civics, which is for simplicity, and we all acknowledge they aren't all EFs.

i don't refer to my car as an EF, but when looking for parts or when asked my body style, it's EF because that's what everyone know and associates 88-91 Civics with

Yea when I go to a junk yard I ask if they have any EFs. Clearly my 91 CRX is an ED, but who cares.
Anyone close to Laurens, SC(within a few hours) have an EF Si tranny in good shape they want to unload? I need to pep this D15B2 up a little bit. Lol

Kind of like how I refer to my coupe as an EK coupe...easier for people to identify the difference between a 92-95 and 96-00 civic.

SO... Hopefully I will have some updates tonight! IA defiantly came up faster than normal. ha ha Hopefully IA isn't like Eibach this year.... I'm over the crazy *** low offset wheels trying/ way to hard to stand out thing.. It seems like it has taken over and its not going away. I hate how its all about who you know.. Like there is a few cars that I have seen in real life that are complete ****, but they look good in pictures so everyone sucks them off! Please excuse the rant... I just needed to get that out there. ha ha

I wish mine was rust free but then again that would cause me to dump money into it. I'm just fixing the essentials on this bucket.
The steering is really loose. Way easier to turn the wheel than my Crx and it doesn't feel very stable. I know all the ball joints need replacing. What else can I do? The boots on the end of the rack are torn wide open and you can see the jagged shafts on each end. As you turn the wheel you can hear it clacking. How can I fix that? Is there a fitting I can squirt grease in through?

I'm going to eliminate my power steering when I do my swap next month. I've been meaning to ask, should I just loop my power steering rack or should I swap in the manual rack I have laying around from the hatch? I've heard there is a difference in the ratio or something.

Dude, you didnt know? Its always about how they look in pics. Drivability, execution, etc etc having zip to do with anything..lol. I'd say about 5-9% of the eibach cars looked as good in person as they did in the pics.

What should I expect to pay for that? I'm pretty much funding anything I do to my sedan with proceeds from parting out that hatch so funds are tight. With kids, 401k, mortgage, RDX, etc., the wife isn't usually too supportive of me working on my car.
