Mines real. I just shelled out a whack of cash to get it repaired. For about 1/2 that price I could of gotten a VIS / Password Mugen copy front, but what would be the point? I dont have much money but taking the time to save something rare like that is important to me.

The only problem with having all that rare **** on your car is getting it appraised for insurance. How do you price out a Mugen EF8 Pro II kit? How do you price out the value of Mugen suspension? Spoon strut bars etc etc. They dont make that **** anymore and finding them for sale even on eBay is next to near impossible. Currently Im working with 2 shops to get pricing on my parts and its taking forever.

well this car is by far not completed, but here's some bad shots of the car. (garaging it soon) If you notice the side-skirts keep the Side Moldings in place unlike say the WW kit. The rear bumper doesn't have the black indent painted (yet) either. The front bumper from this kit was mangled, but its not the same as the mugen. It has a wider mouth and slots for fogs. It definitely replicated somewhere in the US by XunknownX company, i have no clue who. Since i never see any replicas of the 88-89/SPL kit i thought to keep it. It flows very well. Just doesn't do any justice on this car, since its just a beater untill i garage it and fully restore it.

 

There is actually one guy that I know of that has the SPL kit front and rear but no sides..here in socal. He also was selling his car with the kit and jdm front end B18 and I believe JDM rear seats and del sol from seats for only 3000...if anyone can recall who he is................................................ ....ALAN from GOKOOL I think he actually still has the car. Also there was another guy here in so cal that had the front bumper only his name is MOSS. so there are SPL kits floating around. Now lets see who the real deal is...................................still waiting!!!!!!!!

I was checking out Optimus' bumper and nowhere for the life of me could I find an emblem or logo ANYWHERE on the bumper trying to find the company name. Anyone know where to look for it? The inside was like a weird fiberglass weave. I wish there was a name on it that way we can establish what company it is.

Funny story is my dad got his car as a trade. My dad then offered it to me but me being the ultra nice guy that I am forwarded the car to Optimus and my dad hooked him up. Lucky him he scored a rare piece (whether it's a replica or authentic kit )
