yea dude. I did the same thing last month. My water pump was covered in mud and rust. it was disgusting. The motor sat for I dunno how long befor eI got it and I didnt bother to do any maintenace to it before install and start up. I just turned it over a few times by hand to see if everything sounded cool. Then went about my merry way. She has a clean gut now though.

That was one of the hardest things I did to my crx was replace the carpet with a stock interiors carpet. The carpet I got wasnt molded enough and I had to staple the side moldings to it. It was a royal PITA. It does look alot better though! If I had to do it again I would have bought the carpet from Honda.

I agree 100%
Not to mention there are bubbles in some spots which sucks.

what is the difference between the chargespeed and the rota style knock off? what do you mean by having the back cut out? also, do they really mount over the factory spoiler?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I just caught this. I have been gone for a while.
You know what I don't even know or never even seen that version he has. It appariant is a knock off but made by what company I don't know
The bottm of the wing is not supposed to missing like his is.
The wing mounts directly of the factory spoiler. How you mount is is your choose.
Screws (whoch don't look as clean)
Doubles sided Tape (which for some is not as secure or safe for the money spent)
Or you can super glue that bad boy on top. I never tried that but eh.

I'd be down for that for a DD but I just don't have the time to go up to the bay.
Someone should jump on this.

it's because all the bickering has ceased. I did wire relocating in my engine bay. I'm gonig to do a full tuck, but just clean some stuff up. What techniques do you guys use for soldering? I suck at it, but I use a soldering pen and maybe that's the issue. How do you hold 2 wires, the soldering pen and solder with only 2 hands?

Hold the wires together in one hand, takes some time to master the zen art of soldering.

I used to tin the tips of each end then lay them on top of each other, but that sucks IMO. now I take the stripped end of each wire, spread teh wire apart a little (just enough for the other wire to go through it evenly).Put them through each other then twist them together. Then, I let the solder melt into the clusterfuck. Don't forget shrink wrap, or at least some good electrical tape.
Shrink wrap is a must. Good pointers. I'll try them out.
I have a question for you wire tuck guys. Something I was thinking of when I was working on my wiring. When you do the tuck, do you relocate the main harness plugs into the cabin? You wouldn't be able to pull the motor with the harness attached unless there was a hole in the fire wall to bring the big plugs through.

Pull them through and just disconnect the plugs at the sensors if you pull the motor. Kinda ek civic style.

This is the right way to solder. The number one thing you should do is make sure you are using a good type of solder and if you are using flux you need to clean the solder joint with rubbing alcohol or if you have it Isol Propylene (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) when you are done.

I kinda figured that's how it's done. I prefer the harness to stay on the motor. Hence my reason to not do a full tuck.
