actually at one point and time it was a look. Yes it is for STD cars and lower model cars. People use and some still do take off their bumpers on upper model cars and paint them black. I'm sure you have seen them on EK and EGs and **** like that. I guess they are trying to go for the sleeper look and make people think their car is a base model (which is usually is) Paint matched bumper are FTW.

unmolested=stock or damn close to it.

im never gonna get this damn cage out of my car. its painted with some nasty *** fender undercoating.

im either going to strip it to bare metal and clear coat it or go gloss black to match my wheels/valvecover. i like cars that match.

MOMO has just introduced their 3" harnesses and they look damn good. Cam lock style too. I would go for those if your trying to do something new
