thats who my brother (turbocharged 4.7L tundra V8 in an 88 pickup) hangs out with.
should give you some ideas...basically, the sr20 is about as worthless as **** on a boar. (think RB)

well right now im interested in a guy locally selling a 1995 240sx SE, bone stock...and im only gonna build the suspension, intake, exhaust...and some wheels...and ride around like that for a LONG time, and even if i did go the turbo route...ive been talking to a friend of mine who said its better to boost a KA, cuz its got more torque, and if i ever get a ref ticket...its easier to remove the kit rather then swapping motors again, but iuno im gonna do some more reading before stepping my foot in the door, cuz Nissans are TOTALLY new to me

got more tq? no. its not a matter of "having more tq", its just an issue of bore vs stroke. the KA is a turd. go ahead and slap a gt28rs on a KA if you want. it still wont get out of its own way. the suspension cant be dumped. nissans hit the bumpstops in a hurry. they dont look bad with no spoiler, a set of wide low offset deep dish BBS type wheels but i would MUCH MUCH rather do that to an FC3s.
or keep a dialy driver, pick up an rb25 for about the price of a cable b16 swap (no, really) and just swap it, taking your time. call around for a custom length driveshaft (less than 2 bills) get a sr20 ecu and chip it for rom tuning (like crome or uberdata but for nissans)
i see sc300s startign to go cheap. one of those plus a 1jz soarer front clip (snag the motor tranny/pedal set/mastercyl/slave cyl (2k or less)makes for a non-trendy kcik *** ride. be slightly innovative. everyone wants to ********** on a swap like that but no one wants to build one. big turbo inline 6 manual trannied SC lexus are hard.
google clint polher. ..... youll see......

Swap an SR20 if you want good power from a 4cyl. KA's are ******* truck motors. Boosting a KA is like the Nissan LS/VTEC. They need some skill. RB25DET is probably the sweetest swap for an S14 chassis, but obtaining parts for it isn't easy. Any RB motor is going to be hard to find stuff for. **** SR20's never came to N.A. either but they're more common so I'm sure it would be easier for you. Shoot me a PM if you wanna know more Nissan stuff. I know and talk frequently to a few Aussie dorifto guys. All Silvia owners. Not a buncha hardparkers either

yea well boosting a KA wouldnt be bad for me personally (even if i decided to do that) cuz like i said earlier, id still put down some decent #s and if i were to get a Ref. Ticket, i could just remove the turbo set up rather then having to swap out the whole motor and put a stock one back in....and as far as suspension i was lookin to go with some Function/Forms and Carbing front/rear strut bars, 18inch Work VSXX...thats good enough for me for daily driving and taking some turns
if i plan to go with a S14, im not gonna go outta control on it, cuz itll be my daily driver, hell i didnt go crazy on my motor on the EF at all either for the same reason...i guess im just gonna take it slow and see what happens with the decisions i decide to make within the next week

yea sr20s came to north america my friend. in more than one car. the old sentra SEr had he SR20Ve which is the only NA motor other than a 4age that will stand up to a B series honda of equal displacement. also, the infiniti g20 had one. neither of which turbo but both sr20de/ve...jsut no "t" (v=variable)
id do ANYTHING but an sr/ka s chassis car example
here is one i built.... 7mgte (mk3 supra motor) into an 88 yota pick up (2k lbs) sorry not an EF, but at least its in the right time frame...
(home made radoshack ecu spliced with a mega squirt.)

turbo'd tunda motor now.

is the 95 the taco? the taco motor is pretty stout. junkyard turbo it. i dunno how you are at fabbing
a 1jz swap would sit in there nice. 7ms are getting a little pricey. the 1jz is such a bargain. as far as link, no, not really, those are jsut pics i clicked. you can ask me all you want. youll have to fab most everything. but its not as hard as it sounds. i really dont think tis any harder than putting a b series into an dpfi ef. not too my at least.
i cant even explain how much fun a 350hp 400 tq quick spooling 2000lb truck is. the *** end steps out at 65mph in 3rd all day. 11.80s at over 120 mph on LOW boost. we have 2400 bucks in this thing including the price of the truck.
or swap the 3.4L v6 into it and put two to4es on it with 2 homade log manifolds with twin throttle bodies, fab linkage, run it all with a megasquirt s tand alone. that would damn near pick the front wheels up off the ground.
i guess just pm me, i dont wanna **** up this thread anymore, people might start complaining.

vvti = toyota actually came before VTEC in the usa in the aw11 mr2 (4agze) supecharged, variable timing....
i swiped VVT-i headS, as in both, for the tundra motor off ebay for 25 bucks. hahaha. we were originally planning on using an eaton m112 blower (think ford lightning) but this tundra motor is good for 7k+ rpms with the vvti heads and the eaton blower loses efficiency (becomes a flame thrower) at around 5600 or so. so, its g etting turbo'd now. the fender wells have been cut out to clear the heads and a transmission adapter plate is coming from australia so we can use a mk3 supra manual tranny, as toyota never offered the V8 in a manual. it should be the first manual turbo V8 ALL YOTA mini truck in north america. sounds all exotic and important but its just 2 brothers throwing junk together to haul *** with. the V8 was f ree, coutesy of a "lemon" lawed tundra at my brothers dealership. the problem was fxed and he was able to get the motor. we are hoping for low 11s and 500hp/500tq. probably still have less than 4k in it when its done. im taking leave in 2 weeks to go to tampa and help fab mounts and "massage" the firewall.
