Thanks. I was debating on whether or not to post that, but the guy just hit a nerve. There's two things I'm passionate about, my family, and my Honda's.
I don't have less respect for people with Rota's, I just hate when some try to justify buying them over the real thing for anything but money reasons. Thats understandable.

I have personally converted several domestic guys to the Honda world after riding/driving one of my cars. There's nothing like 9k+ rpms from a motor that produces 120+hp per liter from the factory, naturally aspirated.
As far as the Rota vs. Real wheels fight, some people prefer a quality piece of equipment that has a sense of exotic-ness over a mass produced, Philipino-made knock-off. Others "prefer" a relatively light, cheap, functional wheel over an expensive, desireable wheel, just because they can't afford. If you "dont waste your money on hyped up products," does that mean you'd rather purchase your clothing from Wal-Mart over a company that has an established, respected name? I doubt it. Lastly, people tend to purchase Mugen for their racing heritage and the fact that the founder of Mugen happened to be the son of one Soichiro Honda. They produce a track tested, functional product exclusively for the Honda market. With that being said, it's easy to see why many prefer an authentic, purpose built part for their car as opposed to a look-alike replica wanna-be.
Yeah, guys like Chip Foose must be total morons for buying an old, cheap car and investing money/time/blood/sweat/tears into it. Some of us take pride in what we drive and how we choose to modify our cars. I bought a set of $3k Advans when I was 20 and I'll still retire by the time I'm 50. After all, who would want to put a set of Rota's on their hand assembled Japanese roadster?

well sir, youd be incorrect on that assumption
91 with an 88-89 front bumper
notice the corners w/o screw holes, and its because i like the 88-89 bumper and lip more, so i swapped. i will eventually swap to 88-89 moldings and maybe a jdm rear bumper or just retro fit a lip.
and what the hell, heres another pic, of my function form lca's and amr coilovers
me neither haha, i have a new magnaflow muffler to put in, so that will be taken care of asap

Do u have 88-89 doors on there too? That door sash doesnt look wide enough to be a 90-91..unless the pic is playin tricks on me.
Edit: i just checked and you're from Canada. That would explain a lot of the differences!

I cant agree with you more but like we all know it break down to what you like and what you can afford. I personally would rather put 3k in to other aspects of my car rather then rims but that is me. I do agree with the mugen being provin and it is like holding a piece of time when you have some oldschool mugen rims
but it comes down to what you want i personally have rota slipstreams on my hatch and i like them
cheap lightweight, and they function just fine the only problem is that they are new and they are nock offs
but to me they work just as good. I am considering picking up some old school mugens later on just to own a part of history but for now im a full time college student who works seven days a week rota's are fine for now
great points though man

It's on the opposite end of the car facing the opposite direction. Thats what we mean by flipped.
