Was playing in the mountains and it started knocking, assuming its just a spun bearing

Yeah, hopefully not too bad. No block damage you think?

Yeah. Did you tow it back once it started to knock?

That sucks! Hope it works out for both of you. Anyone have any recommendations for cams? Finally was able to take my LS/V (running ITR pistons) into VTEC (breaking in before) and I was happy but the top end was lacking lets say. I have connection in Japan (wife is Japanese) so I was looking at Toda or JUN maybe. Anyone have any opinions?

Thanks Adam. How aggressive are the JUN 3's I wonder? I still use my DC as my daily driver.

I would not go with BLOX or Skunk2 ever.

I had Toda A's on my LS-V and they were perfect. more aggressive than ITR but do not require additional valve train.

If i had to go with a B series cam again, which I doubt i ever would, but Brian Crower or Rocket motorsports are top of the line.

If your wife can still get some Jun cams, that would be baller

Cool. I would like to do most of my valve train in the future. Running aftermarket dual springs and retainers already (came with the head). I'm going to be deploying here soon for a year and my wife and son are going to stay with her parents back in Japan so I'll be stock piling some stuff for when I get back. Looking for JUN's actually as we speak or maybe some Toda's.

That's an idea. Are you running exhaust one and intake the other?

Anybody have any idea how that combo would match against say Crower Stage 2's or some JUN or TODA's?

Im sure the todas/juns would be more powerful but ctr/itr exhaust is the same, ctr intake has more lift than itr, however, 2001 itr are the same as ctr
