Hey guys. Quick question.
Making a purchase for an exhaust soon.
Wanting to spend around $500. Ideas an opinions?
I was looking into a type r system. Would that for 500 be worth it?
Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Well said. My local forum was ripping me a new one for having TE's on my Integra. WTF? Something about offsets too high, not worth it for a FWD platform, etc. All this from hellaflush, hard-parking, fanboys.

I'm reading what password says about the spec2. It claims its strictly for competition use. How loud is it? And no problem bolting it on a 94 ls when password's application is for a dc2R... correct?

It doesn't look very stock, so I'm a bit against it with socal daily driving in mind. Any thoughts on that?

Loud as hell. Would make ur integra sound like a weed whacker. You would get pulled over every week in So cal with that exhaust. Get a apexi WS2.

Bit pricey^ Rather do a itr exhaust unless I can find the apexi for like $600-650.

What about skunk2? Aside from the bandwagon hate, decent system for the price?

I use to have a DC Sports full exhaust on my 1st GS-R. It was sporty and quiet when cruising, and sounds good when you get on throttle. Better than the Apexi Dunk and Greddy EV02 I had on my current GS-R, before I went boost.

Found a few videos of the DC exhaust. Really liking how quiet it sounds, even on cars that aren't stock.
Found it on-line for a price I'm willing to pay for a brand new exhaust so unless I find something else I'll probably follow suit in about a week. Thank you sir.

Easybmx, you were PMd. Any videos of how the bc midpipe and apexi sound?

Spoon N1 on my LS/V with Fujitsubo b-pipe is loud as **** but still the best looking exhaust ever in my opinion! Pricey as hell though, about $400 just for a used axel back, luckily found mine cheap as hell when I was stationed in Japan. I'm trying to find a silencer for it now. Anyone know how much of a difference it makes?

My T1R was really nice, a bit loud but nothing extreme, could easily daily with it and not get hassled.

The twin loop axle back is a lot quieter on there

I loved my Apexi N1, although it might be loud to some.

yes and no. I mean motorcycles and truck guys always have loud exhausts. I just don't think a Spec2 is worthy of being called an exhaust. it sounds horrible and louder than screaming death.
