I'm not sure why some have 3 and some have 2. I know the mounts depend on if your just replacing your OEM mounts, if you have done a motor swap, and also if you have done a cable to hydraulic trans. conversion. As long as your sticking with your motor, then don't worry about the 2 bolt mounts.

Stock are 3 bolt for the transmission and 3 bolts for the rear. The driver side has 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

damn that's alot. From what I understood yeah mines is considered totaled since he already sent it though to the "salvage department" of the insurance company. He said to call up my representative from that department and they'll explain the rest. I'm pretty much confused since its my first time dealing with this without help

Insurence sucks! I went back in forth with my insurence for over 3months when I tottaled my first teg. 5600+ in damages. After all said in done the policy I had screwed me over. Or adjustor did. My policy had extra policy on top of full coverage which was for $2000(covered aftermaket parts) sense full coverage doesn't me they will cover aftermarket or "rare" oem parts! well farmers insurence said there was no such extra policy in my name so I stripped my teg (at my adjustor advice, haha)and got $5800 for my "stock" mint auto teg with 112XXX. And my family changed insurence companys. After al that frustration I'm happy I got over on the insurence company. My advice fight tooth in nail, whatever first price they give you,say no! Keep us updated man.

yeah Mines doesn't look too bad but it was in the rear. Ill snap a few pics of the damage I can see. he said my car was only worth about ~$4300 and that they make it a total loss once it hits 75% or even 60%

If they total it you shouldnt worry about it, just move on and buy another.

I loved my old car but i was only really upset about wrecking it for about 30 minutes and was already thinking about what I would do next

she did me good tho . I want to buy it back since it has new bushings, front rear camber kit, slotted rotors, SS brake lines, rims, front lip, and my motor was healthy and has a timing belt, water pump, tensioner, spark plug wires, new o2 sensors. super strong motor

Double post
Where I was hit right side only. Trippy part the bumper held up fine

Buckled the side(but too bad)

How the bolt is supposed to be(what its holding idk)

And how it is. twisted forward

Underneath

The metal is like wrinkled compared to the left side. Idk if you can notice

This is all the damage the guy pointed out to me that I didn't notice since the bumper held up fine just the tabs were broken. The trunk, tail light and middle trunk piece are also misaligned but it wasn't too noticeable in the picture. He also said this is the damage he can see right away but that there might be more damage once the car is taken apart and lifted up but we never got that far since he said just that alone is ~$2500 which to them is a total loss already

When my car got stolen and recovered several days later, Geico was very easy to deal with. They told me everything over the phone, how much I was going to get and how much it would cost me to buy the shell off of them. It was stripped, so it was a total loss. They were going to get rid of it, but I wanted to put it back together. Bought the shell off them, got my check and everything went smooth. Thumbs up to GEICO.

Yeah that all looks about right for 2500, and there probably is more damage like he said, there always is. They should give you a decent price to buy it back

Help

okay I got offered $4952.51 for the car or buy it back for $1358 which leaves me with $3396.10. Idk that kinda seems like a high buy back price. should I talk them up to giving me more(if possible) or talk them down on the buy back of the car?

tell them the insurance industry average on buying back a salvage car is 7-10% of the cars value. and what they are offering you is wayyyyy to high.

Yea that's high, but I'd talk to them to get a better price, there first offer on mine was 3000. that doesn't leave you with much to buy another teg I don't think you can talk them down on buy back price.
