when i changed my studs i left the hub on the car and used a slap hammer to pull it off. Then we put the studs in the freezer and used a vice and a air hammer presto.

Broken studs suck, I've been there. I had 3 studs stripped to shiet on me not too long ago. It was so bad, I couldn't even take the wheel off. I couldn't loosen/tighten the lug nuts, they would just keep spinning and spinning. I had to drive 5 miles to get them fixed. What a nightmare.

Been there so many times. Such a frustrating/time consuming issue to fix. Hope it works out for you on the first shot.
