Need your opinion guys; Next week I'll have around $1000-$1200 to spend on my car. I've narrowed it down to purchasing one of two items. Either new wheels (undecided which wheels + I'll have to put more on top for any decent wheels), or Spoon Sports calipers. What do you guys think? I'm leaning twords the calipers because my brakes need upgrading soon anyways, but new wheels would be nice.

i would go with the wheels, gourley. do you put your car on the track often enough to put them to good use or do "spirited driving" often? what kind of wheels do you have on your car now?

I do bring my car to the track once or twice a year. (Not drag strip) I am more of a function over fashion kind of guy. The stock brakes with Hawk pads just don't do it enough for me anymore. I thought about upgrading the pads to more aggressive pads and stainless lines, but I rather purchased better calipers and run more of a street pad then use my stock calipers and aggressive pads not ment for street.

I also will be upgrading my tires along with my next purchase. I currently run 195/50/15 Falken Ziex's. I will be upgrading to 205/50/15 Dunlop Direzza Star Spec's.

Yeah I hear ya. My first track day was with my eg si hatch. I over heated all my brakes, pads were gone after the second session, and all my bushings went from being bad to trashed.

Being "hellaflush" or "dumped" is so stupid. Call me a hater or not, function over fashion for me all day.

My cars a LS and first thing I did to help aerodynamics was put a ITR wing on and took off the side moldings. Next I replaced the 94 front and put a JDM front on. Little things help aerodynamics little by little. Next I will be getting putting on the J's air duct and making brake ducts. Spoon drop in filter will be purchased soon too.
