i did a thing last night which i called slideways fridays. there is a local kid fun place or whatever you want to call it. it has the typical putt putt..slow karts..and the slick track. me and my friends normally go drive rental karts at a local sanctioned track or fastimes. the girlfriend and i had driven the slick track a couple times this summer with family. i thought it would be cool to get my friends who track or autox out there. you can run 6 karts at once and it was a blast. almost as fun as doing "gp" karting. everyone had a good time so i think we are going to start doing it every other week or so before it gets cold and we have to go inside to ftimes.

Fun. Ive only karted once for 8 mins on an electric kart. That looks like a ton of fun. How expensive is it?

 

that place is 20 for 4 runs. idk the session time but you get plenty of laps because the track is so short. we would line up double file and let the inside guy be the pace setter for the start. we started to do the same after someone spun out. it makes it more fun to battle it out than just run laps.

this is the outdoor track. they run sanctioned events there. you get 7 minute heats and it costs..1 for 12..3 for 30..10 for 85. this place is fun because you can run forwards and backwards with a ton of different configurations. they run "forward" for the rentals but since we know what we are doing we get to do whichever we like aslong as noone else is there.

this is the indoor. it is a much much more technical track. you only run one direction(which gets old) and it is a bit more expensive. 1 session is like 21 or 22 with helmet rental. 20 if you have your own helmet. you can get a membership though which is what i have done. you run like 3 for 45 and it goes up from there. one perk about being a member is they have member nights. you pay 50 and run for 4 hours. it is very tiring for sure but it is like a test and tune which makes it nice. you go at your own pace/stamina. lol.

 

also if you want to start autoxing or tracking time in a kart if at all possible is needed. and use every opportunity to do so. if i hadnt starting karting before all of this tracking etc i dont know where i would be. lol. probably lost.

Oh nice, thats not bad at all. Around here theres F1 boston which is indoor. Never raced there bc its too damn expensive but yeah I dont think I'll get to practice karting before I start auto-x next season.

 

you have all winter to kart so i think you have the time before next season. if you think it is expensive then dont eat out for lunch a week straight. boom there is money for 2 sessions atleast.

 

lmao I pretty much dont have lunch anymore. I just eat at home when I get out of school. Im not working right now so I need to get something going soon.

I'm coasting to afford insurance and gas. I'm racing against time to afford a daily so that I dont need to drive mine in the winter. Its going to be another broke *** winter :-(

 

The economy sucks, Im struggling at finding a job, there is nothing, everything I applied for, 50 people in front of me with better resumes applied for it. Think positive though, somehow I make such little money a year working a part time night job that I support my family, gotta give credit to God for all the blessings.
