i would say get some .25 over pr3 piston, arp rod bolts, then get the head built with some pro 1's is what i would do.

well we are in different situations.

i had a gsr head. and no block

u have a block but no head.

the head is going to going to be more expensive. but let me break it down and try to remember

block 700 with eagle rods and je pistons
getting the block and head decked (50 dollars with hookup)
arp headstuds around $100
exedy stage 1 clutch (i got it for 80 dollars)
resurfaced the flywheel $30
GE ls/v kit $200ish

that got it running. then soon after i started to get money i dumped alot more into it and rebuilt it again lol

but i recommend GSR or B16 pistons (LS/Vtec sucks with stock ls pistons), rods, arp headstuds, GE ls/v kit, and the things thats obvious

that will get you started with the build. but i say save money and do all you want at one time. IMO
