*yawn* that's fine I already know I don't like you, it really didn't take me that much time to figure that much out. and read over what you typed, you did in fact make a broad generalization of cops being ********. is this the first time I've commented on you make a stupid broad generalization? no..... more than likely won't be the last either.

I have a problem, with stupid broad generalizations... especially ones where someone(or multiple people) comment about how cops are ********. when they are infact enforcing the laws(albeit, some a bit more stringent in some areas than others) everyday citizens(not cops) came up with.

see, I didn't resort to namecalling, but you did... anyhow, people in my "squad" should maybe learn a bit of respect for law officers and maybe people in general. it works the same with my good friends too, Jeff has known I hate broad generalizations.. if he makes one, I always comment on it, I still do that to him to this day.

it is wrong... but every single person has personal biases, you can always attempt to overlook them but **** still comes out... you would honestly be amazed at how much **** truck guys get from cops, I know people that have had their interiors taken apart because a cop 'thought' they might have drugs on board.. the general reason? some cops think kids wouldn't have nice modified vehicles unless they're selling drugs.
also, you can thank that movie(you know the one) for rice rockets getting looked at the way they do by the general public(not just law enforcement).

yea, I'm not saying profiling is the greatest thing ever.. there jsut happens to be a 'trend' with certain types of people and certain activities.

Dude James and Glore, calm down... I know this sorta started out as a few comments being thrown around but you guy's are starting to take it as conflicting. James I know you're an officer of the law now but you gotta understand from everyone's point of view. For me and my recent experiences with cop's, I have no problems with them seeing how they're now more open to the ideas of creating "muscle cars" from Japanese vehicles. And Glore you also have to understand that sooner or later almost every cop running our streets are gonna be relatively young guys that probably drive imports themselves. I have a friend of a friend who came over to my friends house while we were working on cars and trippy thing was he came over in his Squad car. That immediately made me react by saying "close the hoods" but turns out the cop had an EG himself and loves Honda's, and only pulls Honda's over to ask about their car with nothing but good intensions. Give it time and I'm sure our cars won't be frowned upon anymore.

I am calm... but let me make a point here since obviously all you guys think import owners are being harassed(which to an extent you are).. aside from a loud exhaust what ticketable offense do you have on a muscle car? on an older car, they are smog exempt on a newer car damn near every visable domestic v8 performance part has a carb sticker.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by cranberry &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">wow......is all i can say.....all i'm going to say is i drive to and from la all the time.....i dont drive like an as when i'm there cause i dont want to get pulled over....chp has passed me on the highway.....and i do agree calling cops *******'s doesnt solve anything. umm, damn near everyone grew up with muscle cars.. not because imports weren't the thing, but because the import scene didn't pick up until the mid 90's.. and even then muscle cars were still around. almost everyone has respect for older cars, because without them the performance world wouldn't be what it is today. but yea, young officers that are also enthusiasts will help you out also in the long run.

I apologize to the rest of the squad(minus the e-thug) for my rant, though it wasn't soley directed toward one individual.. just that person was who I quoted to make my point.

i dont know any of you guys at all, cause i live on the right coast, not the left, and also me being the newest member of this squad. but even so, i dont believe in violence or even name calling (unless its a joke). this whole thing has made me uncomfortable, and im sure it has made others uncomfortable too... please guys, can we just get along? i think a stern debate should be okay, but not violence threats or slander.

Well yeah I know how you are James, and you don't seem to be the violent type but more of the funny guy type. Anyways aside from that I get where you're coming from and you've owned an import before and still do now but like I said for me, I've been pulled over by a cop and he was real cool and into my hatch. Even got a few thumbs up from cops passing by so I have a new found respect and understanding for cops, pretty much comes down to how you drive and present your car while driving. And that's true we have nothing on smog except mucsle cars, but you gotta admit that it does seem unfair to a certain point that they can be as loud as they please and won't really get hassled. Either way I respect all car's and it doesn't really matter to me.

Apology accepted on my end but please just try and keep the feud through PM's.

Also on a side note my hatch is gonna be pushed back a little. Turns out a friend that agreed to payoff a ticket of mine a year ago didn't(it was his fault, long story) and recently got a notice from the DMV saying the ticket was now $1,100 but used to be just $80. So I was planning on painting my car completely from MOB this coming fall but now can't because that ticket screwed me over. All in all I have a little more saving to do, once that is done I'll be finishing up my B20/Vtec idea and onto the magazines, I'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah the douchebag didn't have his seatbelt on while in my car and the cop gave both him and me a ticket, that friend assured me that I wouldn't get one but sure enough I did. Claimed he paid it off awhile ago but I smelled bullshit when I got that notice, and yeah I'll make sure to represent hard for the Squad.

I have yet to make a threat, I mean... it's the internet!

it doesn't seem fair that muscle cars can get away with being loud, but in this day and age daily driven imports are out numbering the hell out of daily driven muscle cars.. so in my observations, this is why imports seem to be targeted more.. there's jsut plain more of them to go after imo

That's true, haven't really thought about it like that. Plus my **** sounds like a Evo/WRX so it doesn't really make it any better for me and I'm sure once cop's here it they know I'm packing something.

Mine sounded like rice too back when I was rocking the sohc. Used to have a Megan Racing N1 muffler and damn that **** was loud... But back to the decal's, I'll see what I can do, because I haven't had much time lately being that I manage a shop now. Most likely we're gonna keep the original design but we're gonna add new colors like green, blue, red, gold, and list goes on... Maybe I can get that in before Fall, but I'm also gonna need a deposit from those that want new stickers in a different color. Cause like I said it's gonna cost me $4 a sticker.
