long time no talk guys.....

well i decided to keep the EG....but i was on the back roads late night few days ago....i was exiting a S turn....and what do i see ahead of me.....a stupid coyote.....and guess what happens!??!?!?!? I ******* HIT IT!!! my CF lip is in 3 peices my pass side side skirt ripped off...my bumper is hanging... and it also made me run into a ditch which wasnt bad i just backed right out of it...but the 360 spin i did was crazy looking...it could of been alot worse...my fogs made it though tho..... but hey this means new parts and a whole new look....

i know ive been gone for awhile. ive been working alot and spending time with the girl...and not to mention moving back home soon...which means more money for the EG =] anyways just wanted to say hi....

sometimes you can't help it...i've hit plenty of things...i swear they just pop out of nowhere

 

so not my fault though....i was doing about 45-50 around that corner so there was no way to stop in time and if i went on to the oncoming traffic lane i would of hit couple big branches in the road so i would of hit anything....

thats a pretty nice pic actually. Try taking it again without the people and it'll look pretty neat I think. Its a nice angle with the doors open and such.

I don't know why reading this topic harkened me back to the days of high school (10 years ago for me) and even more so of fledgling car clubs that people were scrambling to try and get VOTED into in the mid 90's.

I'm trying to figure out the point of having an internet-only "clique" that you have to be voted into.

Am I missing something here?

Am I the only one who thinks all of this H-t different "crew" stuff is a bit silly?

I mean I understand the guys who hang out together in person and call themselves "crews" but why the internet boys' clubs?

first off this is just your opinion so i can respect that. but it gave us a chance to meet a lot of new people and kick it and talk about our cars. its not like race crew or a show crew and the whole getting voted in thing is mainly to cut back on the ***'s that are on honda-tech that flame everything. you i will not get mad or upset with cause of the way you worded your statement. all of the cali members do hang out in person and actually have a friendship out side of honda-tech.

Agreed, Jeff is a good friend of mine, I may not talk to him all of the time but if I need something I could call him. It gives us a chance to meet up with people with similar hobbies in our same area. We had a meet not too long ago out here in California and plan on another one in October (that I hopefully show up on time for). It would be cooler if we lived closer but Jeff's gay and doesn't want to move to Cerritos and Steph isn't old enough to live on her own (j/k). We're from different areas but the EH Squad has had a (for lack of a better word) makeover about a year ago. That's why we vote before hand and we also talk to the people for a while. Quality over quanity

 

well me and psi(or what ever is it now he changes it all the time) we are about 2 of the farthest away next to ummmmmmmm the one that lives in NC cant remember name right now but i joined this club just to do it because i just felt it would be cool to be a apart of something like this its not about showing my car or **** like that its just meeting new people along the way

I understand where you guys are coming from, but if you step back and look at it from the outside it can look more like a popularoty contest/clique of sorts.

Can you guys see where I'm coming from when it comes to having to submit your info/pics to the first 10 members, they vote on it, and then you're in or out? From a third party's perspective it seems very elementary school "clubhouse" like.

I mean no disrespect - I'm just giving you a different vantage point that you might not have considered.

Having a crew/squad doesn't keep the H-T haters away either, in fact, it draws more attention to them and almost dares them to come waltzing in starting shitstorms.

It's cool if you guys are happy with it though, and you all know i'm down with the EH fo life 'n' *****.

Wait, you mean this isn't a gay club? F*ck, I guess I'll be seeing you guys later then. I always thought it was odd that *FreshEG6* Steph was in here, being that it was a gay club and all! Hehe, oh and just an update on that 93 4dr Civic EX, I didn't pick it up after the long long drive up to San Luis Obispo. I found too much damage on the doors, like he drove it off a curb with the doors open or some ish', and the rear quarter panels were all dented. Stupid guy didn't say anything about that stuff, just the hood and trunk body damage which could easily be fixed with new parts! Oh well, it was a great drive in the STi, except thru Santa Barbara, cause of all the smoke from the Day fire. I highly reccomend taking a weekend drive up the 101, the scenery makes it feel shorter than it is. Oh and bring a radar detector, it really comes in handy up there.
