I understand the reasoning. There (as I said before) are more pro's to me getting a larger wheel size. If my car raises off of the ground .3" then that's higher than it would have been sitting which is a good thing. Believe me, ever little bit matters, Jeff could see the result of my other car being too low. Had the SOHC's had oil pans like the K20's I would have never sold the car. For the simple fact is that there were somethings that on a normal basis I would have clear (like this mini but hill...thing we have on base) that really isn't that high off the ground but ever fraction of an inch matters in the long run. I've seen EPs with 16 and the homosexuality behind them is very large IMHO I'm calling the shop in Japan this morning, they guy might not be able to change my order, we'll see though.

if you're doing it for brakes that's fine.. but you specifically stated earlier that you're getting 17's to raise your car up.. the only reason the 17's raise your car up is because you are simply running a tire that is too small on the 16's and the correct tire on the 17's.
I don't even know where you're going wth the oil pan thing..
my point of sharing all this info was in the end to point out the downside to running a bigger wheel to 'save' the body parts which in turn are cheaper than the wheel you stand to potentially bend..bent wheels aren't fun.

I'm not saying that larger wheels will do the miracle for the body of my car but every little bit helps. You're right, broken rims is never a good thing, that's why they're insured and they haven't even made it to America yet

Hey guys, not trying to jack the thread. Just wanted to share a link to some shirts I'm selling and one of the designs features an EG hatch. Check em' out and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

that's why you just get a good size tire on the smaller wheel
you ever get anymore word on changing your order up? I'd imagine it wouldn't be a big deal... cause I mean you could just cancel and reorder
