I just remembered the last part of the converstation on the phone...
Jeff: I just got a new mod on my car.. guess what it is. I'll give you a hint, it starts with H and ends with D
me: umm... hmm.... err.. I don't know and I've been drinking, just tell me.
Jeff: HID fool!
me: I would have never guessed that, expletive acronyms.
Jeff: aright man, I'll talk to you later. *hang up*
me: *confused*

here's my write-up on the Acura TL HID kit into a JDM H4H EG lamp (pics died, but bump it for me anyways hehe, there are a lot of new H-T kids now days who might want this info):
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=574577
...or from my site directly (pics still good)http://www.turntableteknicianz...D.htm

in a JDM headlight!

best of all, takes up no room behind the headlamp, and you still use stock rubber seal!

and here's my Valeo projector retrofit into my Denji headlamps (sold it btw)
http://www.turntableteknicianz...D.htm

my right D2S bulb had a broken base, so it sat uncentered in the projector seat, so thats why one cutoff curves up at the edges, while the other is straight all the way thru, if both bulbs were nor broke, it would be a straight laser-line cutoff all the way across. But with that curved cutoff, from the uncentered bulb, it also created a little bit of purple flare for some nice blue/purple flicker as you are driving up the street. People won't see the color once you get about 100-200 feet in front of them, the color effect that projector cutoffs give, gets less dramatic as they get closer, as you might notice when seeing a projector HID car coming up in your rearview mirror, or when you look out your rearview, then you look out your side mirror, and its a different color. That's cause of your viewing angle of the cutoff beam.

How was the cut off with your the fluxe'd lens? the cut off looks great in the projectors. I want to use the tsx or s2k projectors for a retro fit, I want to use my jdm headlights, but read that flux'd lens kill the cut off. I have the denji projectors too, but i really dont want to use them.
*Edit* - nevermind, after reading your thread, explained that cut off isn't super nice. Now i guess its a decision to use the denji's or the clear housed tyc headlights...hmmm....

look at that beautiful cutoff</TD></TR></TABLE>
Only the older projectors have the sharp cutoff, oh and Valeo (audi) projectors. People started to complain about the light beam in their rearview. Imagine shining a light in your face, then turning it away real fast, and then back again. Thats what happens with a sharp cutoff flickering in your rearview mirror, the new gradual cutoff beam, allows for a smoother transition from the light beam when the car bounces...but at the expense of a less intense beam.

I have pics of the cutoff in my JDM headlamps on my link I posted. And some people want to have HIDs in their JDM headlamps. Its more unique. Dont get clear TYC lights, only retro the projector lights. I repeat, do not get An H4 kit, the beam is gay. The JDM H4H retro is near perfect! It cant get any better in a fluted headlight. The beam is exactly the same as the H4H bulb gives out, except its with a xenon D2R HID bulb, so its much brighter. JDM headlamps dont have cutoffs, its not gonna ever happen, without some fabricated shield. This was just the standard way to put HIDs into a JDM headlamp, until these H4H kits came along. Also what does a replacement H4H HID bulb cost from Camp1320? Probably the cost of 2 OEM HID bulbs off of eBay. You get stuck into having to buy a brand of bulbs. The manufacturers brand. WIth an OEM HID kit, retrofitted, you can use any bulb you wish. They make yellow HID bulbs, blue, purple, white, original white (4300k, 4500k), and not talking bad about the camp1320 kit, cause its a damn good idea, especially for people who dont have any customization/fabrication skills, but I want to let people know there are other options out there, that may or may not have more benefit to you. Its all up to you in the end. As long as the beam looks good, and isn't scattered, uneven, or shooting up into the trees!!!
