Since I kind of went over this with Avijit and you mentioned it, I'll discuss.
"Abs" or core with machines, to me, is rather pointless. What does your core, not just abs, do for you? Stabilize your body, specifically from your upper body to your hips. Also, in turn, that also because the balance of your whole body. Ie, say that you are walking on a balance beam and you start to lose your balance. What "normally" happens? Your arms go out and your upper body moves to counteract the off balance.
Ok, so, why do core stuff in a "supported" fixed plane machine? Yes, you target those specific muscles, but you are taking the fundamental basic definition out of core. You aren't firing those stabilizer muscles, I would rather get the "biggest bang for my buck".

Well today was workout day so i didnt make it to the gym, instead i got a way more intense workout
So i went dirtbiking...uncle invited me and told me he had an extra souped up ktm 250cc 2 stroke calling my name...it a powerful freaking bike and frankly was scared to ride it. I had a 250 4 stroke and have riden plenty of 125s...but a souped up 2stroke 250cc ktm is a whole other beast...did about 1hour and a half trail riding and a hour at motocross....its been a few years and man does it work alot of little muscles....holy cow the whoop section was killing my legs but it was so damn fun and i actually thought to myself im getting a killer workout. It was about 40* out and misting..halfway through it rained for about 30 and then back to misting....it was freezing and cold and wet and 110% worth it.
MotoX used to kill me. But, you lost me, you said something about low impact and then you say "I went and rode a dirt bike." There is nothing low impact about that.
Also, what is high impact about doing core? Ie, doing supermen on a stab ball. The only high impact there is the holding off the gas that might slip.

Well, I finally had a "cheat" meal. We went to Ruth's Chris for Brandy's work's Christmas "party". I had the intentions of "being good". But, one of her coworkers said "You have been good and you don't eat here often." I thought, good point, go in!! Hello, almost 2 pounds. haha.
Anyways, we were also supposed to do that couples' karting enduro on Sunday, but a lack of couples made them cancel it. So, there was a toy drive that IndyRPM(where Avijit is a moderator) was putting on. The couples' event is supposed to be monthly, so it was a good way to track weight loss to time loss delta. So, Brandy and I went, anyway, but she didn't drive since Bai came. Minus 15 pounds dropped my fast lap by .3 of a second which on sub-25 second laps is good. Avijit dropped a hammer on a lot of people. He was like 4th or 5th quick out of a lot of people, not bad for a straight line guy!!
Sunday also marked my first Sunday workout aka 6th day. I set my alarm at 630a and get to the gym when they open at 8a. I get about an hour and a half of cardio/agility/core in, then back home as the girls are waking up!! Boom, you sleep, I work!!
I'm going to start training my wife and sister-in-law at home when the new years rolls around.

Been lazy AF lately. Havent done anything to my car since like October lol. Yesterday i decided to drain, and fill my trans with some fresh Honda MTF. I also took the tires off the Regas and threw them on my stock wheels. Im throwing the Brights up for sale, and hoping i can find some other Regas for next summer. Who knows maybe ill finally move on to diff wheels lol
