Re: Offical eH squad list.
I really wasn't pushing it, that weekend. After Friday, I had the "get it home" mentality. I was faster at WMHM than I was at Wangfest, but at Wangfest the track was super "grippy" and I was pushing. The main difference in speed was that I was carrying 3rd gear all the way into t1 and t5, unlike before with the short shifts. It took a couple sessions to get used to. Watch these for pushing, look at the stats, Dil is super fast at Gingerman.

My main "agruement" to you is, like Nike, Just Do It. Your basis is hear say from the internet, etc. My first track event, in the hatch, my car was rubbing. I was kind of "freaked" by it, but he said to not worry about it. Is my set up perfect? No. Will it ever be? Doubtful, I am on a budget and that budget prioritizes seat time first. I am out there pedalling, that is what is fun.
That brings me to my next point, you think that your set up is good and that pushing it on the streets gives you good feedback. haha. Yeah, maybe on the street, but the track is where you really can push it. I have told Avijit and many others this, every time I get on track, I learn something new, or do/feel something that I never have, before. If you don't believe it, here is the first time that it hit me in the face. First event, ever, WMHM09, Avijit was there, I was in the sedan. Stock everything except Tein RA, RT615 on Si wheels, and HP+/RBF600. I was rolling basically everyone in beginner and I thought I was "the man". Well, my instructor signs me off and says "With me out of the passenger seat, the car will handle differently." I thought, this dude is crazy, I have driven "fast" with and without people in my passenger seat through the "twisties". Pit out is t2, I used t3 to check brakes, etc, t4 isn't really a "turn", t5-6 is a "double apex" left. Needless to say, I came out of t6 rear end out, steering like no tomorrow. Why, because the weight transfer was completely different, but why not on the "twisties"? I am going to go with how much I was pushing the limit of myself and the car. I'll leave it with this one, I used to wonder when the rear would kick, what I did "wrong". Now, if the rear end doesn't kick, I wonder what I did "wrong". It is a completely different place behind the wheel once you start breaking down "boundaries", it is a great place to be and even better to keep pursing those "boundaries". You won't find those "boundaries" on the local "cloverleaf". Get out on track, it will change your life!
Re: Offical eH squad list.
Yup, you're right no argument there. I am stoked to get out there. I'd figured at this point I would have at least gotten an auto x done but I am happy with getting the car closer to being prepped sufficiently. Oh and I read your story earlier today, sounds like yet another he hectic but fun track weekend.
I'd rather get upgrades than seat time but it's because a lot of things need addressing but as long as everything is solid driving wise I should be ok with doing a track day. I want to build my suspension this fall/winter and get my bodywork done and get tires for the weds. Hopefully do an event sometime in the spring or early summer at worst. I would love to do mid Ohio but not at ITR expo. Mike might do an event this year but evan I think is doing an event, just hasn't picked one yet. Hopefully I can get a ride along with one of them.

Addressing the things that need to be replaced is good. Buying 1500 dollar wheels, haha, there are a few track days, right there. lol.
Re: Offical eH squad list.
Yeah that was a sacrifice for the bigger picture. I could of had my suspension built and my bodywork taken care of and more with what I spent but I'd still make the same choice. The coilovers too, the functions would be been just fine but since I was planning on getting them after my suspension was refreshed it made more sense to save some $500 and get them then.
Hopefully painting my brakes today or installing a camber kit or 2.

Re: Offical eH squad list.
yep. I've been enjoying my time with my family. Trying to figure out if I'm going to run smf sunday or just go in the am and run for "fun" I care about seat time.

I still need to get pix of how Brad's looks. Haha.
I forgot to take pix of the one I did for my buddy's here locally. I used his as the test fit specimen.
Once I mount these canardians on this fella's 98 coupe...I'll take pix of them too.
