OK, gents, I am going to try and sum up the weekend.

So, we depart Sunday morning because I was running a half day with the group, Auto Interests. On Sunday, they run counter-clockwise, which I love! We get up there, get unloaded and I swap wheels. I go out "first session", I take a lap to "see" the track. Next lap, pick it up a tad and boom, black flagged session. What the heck, oh a s2000 is beach on the hill after T3. That is basically the day, black and red flags. I ran an intermediate session, but we got in trouble. lol. "You advanced guys, stay in advanced." hahaha.

That night, Bai was a handful at dinner. It took a toll on Brandy and I, we walked down to the beach. Jit has seen it, we got to see the sunset there, amazing!

Monday, Monday, Monday. We stayed at a hotel, so I got decent sleep in a decent climate. Anyway, my student started off slow, got better, got a big head, got that in check, straightened it up, and got even better. It was hot, I stunk at forward, before, my opinion. This event helped me get passed it, I just went in to have fun and let the pace ride. That is Dil's home track and he boogeys there. Dil and I started out at the same event together, so we have a ton of history. It doesn't mean much to you guys, but it takes a ton of trust to be around others while on track. There aren't many people I trust more than him, as you can tell in that picture. lol. Anyways, I am done typing, I started this at like 9:30 aka 3 hours ago. Then crap hit the fan on Facebook due to a comment on my video. My phone has been blowing up since. lol.

Brap i didnt know you had a ls transmisson with a 4.4 final. your moving for sure with that gearing. awsome *** video! I pray I get to use a go pro this weekend and next.

 

It is a mixture of crap, basically. That is why the car takes forever to accelerate. Fun car, regardless, just needs to rev faster. The session with Dil was awesome, the next session, I figured out some more stuff and felt faster. I had a big ol' drift, but the GoPro was full. I am finally to that commitment point of full throttle on slides. It seems a lot easier than what it is, mentally at 50+mph, you don't "think" throttle, you think slow down or stay off the gas.

Reverse I have dialed in pretty well. The track was grippy, so i was turning into T11(or T1, backwards) "too early". Last year, I could somewhat "slide" through there. This year, watch the wheel, I am forcing it to stay on track. Oh well, I will be back there in a few months.

Yeah I learned that along time ago. I lifted and the *** started sliding and my friend told me to nail it and it fixed it. Our little cars are weird.....You can see the differnce if you take the time to watch all your video's. You get me pumped up. I cant wait to roll out on my friends rpf1's wrapped in the rs3's sunday. should be alot better then my 2010 ad08's. sunday will be local and then the following i'll be heading to oakland.

 

Trust me, I've know it for a long time, too. A difference between knowing and doing, especially at speed.

 

mine was coming back from a snow boarding trip down hill....i was trying to slow down with out using the brake mid corner and it started to slide....not the best moment to learn on the fly. Happened back in 07ish. i much rather it had been on a track then on a public road.

A buddy at work doesn't like the NBA, but watched some of the Pacers/Heat series. He texted me after the beginning of the game, complaining about the calls. My reply, "That is how it goes with the Heat and the Bulls. All other game will have bad calls, but they go both ways. The Heat and the Bulls, crap calls all night, always for them."

 

Jason Morse also hooked his GoPro up to see what me feet do. I am pretty sure this is the Dil and I "battle" session due to the "dwell" time over in T8-9. Anyways, pretty cool to see what your feet do.
