gave i had a hard time getting a 15/16th with the correct "bolt orientation". i think it took two or three tries but i think that was also due to the fact i was getting it from an "automotive store".

hbk. yes that is a pci tow hook. im doing front pads and swapping rear springs to the front. 700s in the rear and most likely a gsr arb. and since i sold the s2000 cluster setup i will probably throw the ctr cams in.

 

Ah. Good stuff, whats a 15/16th out of? Are you both running Motul RBF600? Is there a noticeble difference in anything?

Is it bad to have brake ducts for a street car right? I feel that it would prevent the brakes from getting to temperature.

 

15/16th are in ex.s and 4 disc del sols..integras etc. probably anything with 4 disc except itr. i run motul and i doubt i would run anything different even though there are comparable/better ones out there.

depends on the pads you are running but normally yes. i wont run to the brakes the first day and i will the second day to see if i notice a difference.

 

Yeah. Unless you're driving in 90* weather. Would be interesting to have a way to bypass them. I would do something like that haha

 

you could "bypass" it by putting a "plug" in the duct or just taking the hose off. but like i said it depends on the heat range of your pads.

 

Brad...I found out that a 91 Civic Ex Sedan MC has the correct bolt orientation. On the 92-95 Ex coupe and Si they are flipped the opposite direction.

i got the top hats in today. the rears have that rubber isolator i guess if you want to call it that why?? i dont know. the rears also have a bigger diameter by a tad. i guess it has more of a progressive rate spring in the rear.

and...story time.

so a buddy at work rolls alot of people.s fenders and most of which i dont know. which works out in my favor because well i can play stupid. try to make this short..dude with a rx8 with those 5zigen fn01rs or whatever on it.

i go up and say "are you tucking his tires?" i figured i would get started on the right foot. the rear fitment was pretty good besides some sidewall stretch. oh well..so i ask "what size are your rear WHEELS?" he replies "they are the same as the front. they are 225/45/18 but the offset is 12 in the rear and 55 in the front that is why they look different." my buddy goes "they are 9.5s. that is what he was asking." hahaha.

my buddy gets done with one side and i say "dang you roll everyone else.s fenders better than your own." he replies "yeah no joke. i did a good job on your car." so the dude asks what i drive and i say "civic." he then asks what year and i say "94." then he says "you should get a hatch" and kyle says "yeah that is what he has." the dude gets kind of excited as says "yeah i used to have a 92 eg and that thing was fast." i said "mine isnt that fast but it is fun to drive." if it wasnt good before this is where the excitement begins. this guy has no idea what i do for fun or anything so...he says "yeah i had a rear tower bar and when i would take corners it would lift the rear wheel and you could feel it come back down..man it was like a go kart."
