Completely sucked below 40 degrees. Car just wouldn't get warm during idle and would take at least 5 mins of constant driving to move the temp gauge. Unless I was on the highway(which I never am) at speed the temp needle never even quite got to where it should of. It has been so cold where I am at this winter I really started to worry about Piston ring damage from running cold all the time. Not to mention the wasted gas.

After the OEM therm went back in, the caR will now get warm while idling in just a few mins even in freezing weather. Life is good again. So a lesson learned. Mugen therm + freezing weather = BAD.

 

colin, let me know and ill do the drawings and we can start on the garage in your backyard. we can probably get away with demo'ing your current garage and going from there

oh how I would like to! I have been so over philly lately man, people are so damn rude, cops suck, roads are worse, crime is rediculous, other drivers suck, not too mention im a stones throw away from New jersey....dont even get me started on the f*ckin **** *** garden state

 

We have cheap real estate, no winter and no rust... you get 355 days of the year with no rain... plenty of time to skate

wow good to know
but its good in the summer/spring/warm weather time right?
worth having one then
cause i just bought one
as well as upgrade my rad to a fluydine

my temps were just a little below half way (no heater core btw, just looped)
so i really thought i needed to upgrade my cooling system
to keep the operating temps down
(got really hot after a few hard runs on the dyno )

well its good to know the mugen thermo works
just too well sometimes
you probably tried the carboard trick and everything huh?

i'm also going to try and use water wetter too to keep down the temps too
with mostly water and little antifreeze
since it will only be for the summer and i could put all antifreeze back in the winter when i also switch back to thinner oil and now also switch back to oem thermo :thumup:

I ride a bike 790% more than a skateboard so cool it! Colin skates though, so I figured I'd through that in there.

Has anyone on here used the rear Mugen strut bar with the Miracle X cross bar? I can't seem to make both of them fit because the ends are so thick. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
