Yea they do look different, no extra grey on the bolstering (upper or lower). From the OG pic it was pretty hard to see. I wonder if it's actually a different seat (like materials/backing shape) or just a different cover/padding.

Couple of Mugen's new Concepts. I the S2000 thing is a little strange, but I like the idea, the Road Racing Civic I think is super hot, and the Fit is pretty nice, but just not my style.

Yes I know they have different part numbers, that has already been established. What I meant was I wonder if the "race seat" is actually made of different materials and shaped differently or if it is just an S1 with a different skin.

According to the catalog, the Race seat is constructed out of FRP and the S1 has a glass fiber and vinyl ester resin construction. Unfortunately, that is about all that is says. It makes no mention of being FIA compliant or anything.

No worries, too bad the catalogues aren't more descriptive (and more english lol). Would be interesting to see if someone has actually had both seats to compare size/weight etc.

Thank you, much appreciated Yeah Honda NZ didn't have much interest in pushing the product in the past but with a few diehard Mugen fans employed there and more customers wanting the quality, performance and heritage thats synomynous with Mugen they chose to display more, ...then crooks do this

Quad exhaust, lights everywhere, the gas cap cover isn't even close to following the body lines, fake diffuser with F1 style rain light?

Road Racing Civic
Dual exhaust, 3M stick on flares, again with the fake diffuser and F1 style light

Fit
Horrible stick on "wide body", atleast they've added a supercharger to the 110hp engine to probably boost it to 130, but what about a super charger for the more common tuners such as the civic or S2?


I see now how Mugen has lost the touch like you guys have been talking about, hopefully this is just market testing and they pull out of this (hopefully failed) money making scheme quick
