Brushed finish is not OG though, only areas in OG finish that have a brushed look (very fine) are the edges surrounding the spokes.

i.e.

Mugen-K's set with OG faces; 16x7 +50 ITR Spec Mugen M7.

So would it be worth trying to refurbish my M7's or just rock the polish on the sedan?

I have alot of respect for you guys, I am proud to rock the parts you guys have so much love for.

I think they def. need to be repolished if anything.

BlazedD, I know the faces aren't brushed, but how would you describe the finish? There are def grooves and I assumed this would be described as diamond cut?

On another note, do you (BlazedD) or anyone know the story behind who produced the M7's for Mugen? I know Fortran produced the MR5's and am curious. I've wanted to try to find a set of wheels with interchangeable barrels to make a 16x8 set. I heard Enkei may have produced the wheels for them as the Type 01's/ Racing S' share the bolt count, but after some measurements this appears not so.

Me??

The finish on my M7's is straight up polished. No gooves on the faces, just smooth and shiny. Now the barrels are OEM and havent been touched. They still have the machined grooves as one would find on any set of M7's.

Sorry, I was asking BlazedD the question. I knew yours were polished, but the previous owner mentioned they had pits, etc. They look great, don't get me wrong.

Yeah, I am defintely going to invest some time in getting them cleaned back up. Was going to have them mounted and balanced today, but we got busy here at Kia.

The faces are machined with an alumite finish. There are no grooves on the faces other than the fine lines I mentioned previously, and those were probably left from the machining process. The lips have slight grooves and are diamond cut.

This is brushed:

I'm not sure who produced them for Mugen, I've heard the same names but never saw any confirmation. One thing's for sure though . . it is The SUPER Wheel.

Got em mounted and balanced. I didnt polish them up too much before I put em on. My hood is still smooshed, so no full wheel/lip shot.

+1 for the M7's. They are def. the go-to wheel at the moment. Good thing production numbers were so low. Nice to have a wheel not everyone can buy.
