you are absolutely correct. this is a great deal. if they are brand new you can flip them easily for 400.00 each. this wheel is hard to find new. Don't listen to these goons in here.

So, did they just sell mugen overlay pieces for these clusters? I have a friend with one that the speedo goes to 220km/h, apparently a real mugen cluster goes to 270km/h...and the one in the pics is in mph...can someone clear this up?

 

i believe that is a usdm itr cluster (so mph speedo obviusly) with silver mugen bezel
you can buy the speedo as well which says mugen near the bottom and goes to 270kmh as you said



but I guess it makes sense to have the rest of the gauges from a jdm itr cluster for the yellow needles to match?

 

While I have seen them sold seperately. I believe Mugen intended it only to come as a set. It was called the Sports Meter Unit and Undervisor Set. Only other way to get one was to buy the entire Mugen cluster.

How can you tell the difference between the Mugen Pedals and the replicas that i've noticed have been selling.. Someone locally is selling some for $80 used, he claims they're real but I don't wanna get screwed.

The cluster wasn't really a cluster like the EK cluster is. It was the higher KPH speedo and undervisor (bezel) set. The only way to get the speedo was with the undervisor, but the undervisor itself was available separately. I think the speedo&undervisor went for $600 back when King had them on their site.
