ebay has a huge vintage bmx following.

ill post mine up sometime. its the most completely blacked out thing you ever saw. i spent about 4 weeks waiting on everything in black, all teh way down to the bearing cups in the BB. even the tittie on the end of my brake cable is black.

i have a late 70s ashtabula. its what schwinns bmx bikes used to be called. its pretty much the first true bmx bike, dated to around the time people were still using hacked up schwinn sting rays. the thing weighs about 40 lbs with its steel mag wheels. solid forks. quill stem. i wont sell that thing. ever.

also have an authentic 60s schwinn lemon peeler. its been re-painted and has a replica springer front end, otherwise all original.

if you want to build an early 80s bmx bike look for hutch, stay away from mongoose, and only go redline if its the high-end "pro line" stuff.

i'd recommend some mks gr9 (platform pedals), some mks toe clips, and any nylon straps
