fixed gear bicycle
I see a lot of Seattle reference in that blog...Cadence, Re Load, Wall of Death, etc.
Sucks how such a sick skate spot turned into a place for hipsters to do tricks on

dave def switch to 44x 17 its amazing for Rochester ive never gone on extremely steep hills but my knees dont complain anymore so im extremely happy with that. Also now i just work on a high cadence which is helping me on my road bike to.
i use 47x17 in sf/oakland/portland/seattle and it works just fine. ok for uphills, downhills, flats. no clue how some of you guys are riding around with 80+ gear inches on the street, that's no good for your knees to try to resist and slow down on; keep that **** for the track when you have banking to ride up and take your speed down.

Well the bikesdirect is on the backburner, I upped my budget to 600 max.
Was looking at IRO, but man a 5 week wait is killer. I did see that pricepoint has an IRO LC in stock in 53cm, but I am not too sure how well a 53cm will fit me being 5'10'ish, with a standover of 30.5".
http://www.pricepoint.com/deta...e.htm
Also looking at a Bianchi Pista, I mean no one around here has one.
Any suggestions?
