Yeah...feel free to work on a car in a garage where it's 98 degrees and the humidity is 10000%. I'll wait until the humidity drops with the temps.

I have a pic of my WRX from last December with a Christmas tree strapped to the roof in front of a bank sign that reads 82 degrees.......**** gets old LOL
1. Ordered a GSR swap: $3600 shipped
2. Replaced front windshield: $240
3. Ordered from Honda, brand new glove box and window rollers: $225
Total: $4065
Fixed the dead blinker last night, cleaned out and wiped down the rear hatch area. Got it registered today. I hate this exhaust. I need a quiet Apex-i WS or Noir. They used to be under $500 new. Now they're almost $600.
Anyone know of any alternatives to the Noir or WS that are quiet and discreet, and less than $500
Thanks. Here's what I did today:

Also with that front window I hope you got new oem moldings with it for that price
Glove Box and window cranks from local Honda/Acura service center. Not a dealership. Asking cause hard to find, or ridiculous price?
$200 is what new glass goes for here. OEM moldings would've been another $200 they said. I took some universal moldings...looks better than it did.

Yeah expensive, here is what the glove box, 2 window cranks and left, right and top window molding would have cost through Majestic Honda shipped

if you make a friend that works at a dealership you should be able to get better prices than those, just a heads up lol
Maybe prices have gone up but the last couple windshields I have put in hondas were between $130 - $150 with aftermarket moldings. just depends on where you live though.
Im excited to see this car come back to life!

I'm honestly excited too. It's been about 4 years since I've had an EG, so my shopping skills are a little rusty. I've never heard of Majestic Honda...but you can bet I won't forget. Thanks.

I think I'm gonna get the whole front end repaired, and get an estimate on the whole body plus paint. Thinking a color change might be in order. I at least want the front end to line up properly.
Successful trip to the junkyard. Got a hatch release cable, steering column adjustment lever, and most, if not all of the windshield fluid hoses.
Total: $8.00

Cleaned the smoked film off the tails, now I don't have to worry about getting rear ended because they didn't see my brake lights.

Paint/body estimate this week.

Paint/body estimate this week.
It was a beautiful day today in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Car just got back from its last car meet for the year because this week it's going into winter storage until late April 2013. Last Iphone car shoot until Spring. Winter plans to come!
:bang: :bang:
I know everyone loves pics, but I'm saving what I have so far for an official build thread. I did however start to reassemble my motor. I had taken it apart for a complete build up, but I just want the damn thing to run at this point. Stock is fine for me for now.
I bolted in the oil pump and baffle plate (tq'd to spec). Temp bolted up the oil pan so that I could continue to clean the block and prep it for some Eastwood alumablast. I need to get another can of this since the one I had (while new) died on me quite quickly.
However, I like the color overall. Best silver that looks close to an "OEM" IMO.
Also, does anyone have any how to's for taking an apart? I want to pain the housing, but I'm not sure wth I'm doing since the pieces I"m looking at aren't very intuitive in terms of what comes off in order to get it apart.
