The only type of vehicle I would sell my car for. I have got to build a hot rod before I'm too old to properly enjoy it.

 

That's the beauty of it. You can enjoy it for a LONG WHILE.

I'm planning on building up at least one. The wife REALLY wants a year one mustang. And I swear, I'll get her one eventually (but realistically after my kids are out of the house...in 10 years at the MIN).

But yeah, you can go fast AND cruise in a hot rod. They're great your whole life.

Ideally I'd like to keep the Civic in storage and start building a hot rod. 29-34 Ford coupe or roadster body, whatever frame I can find, small block Chevy with a crazy carb setup, whatever rearend I can find, preferably a circle track quick change, nothing fancy at all in the interior, no windows except a windshield, and regular old steel wheels and white wall cokers. Not too much to ask I don't think....

 

I want to build a 68-69 Camaro one day lol.

 

My buddy had a 69 Camaro for a while and it didn't have enough character for me. I love the way they look and the amount of parts available, just not really in to them that much. 67 Chevelle or a 69-70 Nova is another story though. I've always really liked stockish Nova IIs also.

 

That year chevelle is nice as well. I've just always been soo drawn to that specific year of Camaro's, Why? I'm not sure.

Chevelle has always been a favorite of mine as well. Seem near impossible to find one though.

 

That's like saying don't ruin a 240 by putting a Chevy motor in it

SBCs are a dime a dozen in Oklahoma and I could build an entire stout motor and trans for dirt cheap.
