yea i put a different cluster in my car finally so now i dont have to guess what rpm's im launching at, the car was running a little rough back then too. it pulls way harder now, next season it'll have the LS-V in it. Im gonna invest in some tires for sure this time so i dont lower my self esteem again. lol
trap speed was 93. I did a run with the header and no axle back last spring and the trap speed was 95 spinning all the way through 1st (2.5 sec 60ft) and ran a 15.0. This time my 60 ft was 2.3 so I know with the header on it should be 14.8 with a good launch. I need bigger exhaust too. Yeah I dont know what I was thinking getting Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S.
at first i wasnt even planning on running the car, i just went down there to watch my friend run his car then he was like u should run urs so i said eh ok, took it out there on the 15x8 +25 stance wheels and sat at the line spinning for a bit. but id still pass the ef and run a slower time
what a kick in the nuts haha

its funny how tires make a huge difference at the track, u can have all the power in the world without good tires its useless. all my friends cars ive played around with them a bit off the track and my car would beat them pretty bad but at the track they were all running faster times ugh lol

my car has a Usdm gsr swap(motor and trans) with a (smashed) hytech rep header full 2.5 inch exhaust blox intake mani and chipped po6. but it would spin 1st and 2nd gear pretty bad. next week im ordering the azenis for the slips but track seasons over today. so wont know what the gsr would of done with good tires
Never really seen the appeal in straight line racing, too much strain on the car for too little reward imo
Circuit racing is another whole level of fun entirely though

^Yeah that's what I want to do, but I don't think I can afford it right now, it costs more to race circuit, plus I would need new brake pads and better tires.
My car is also 2400lbs since it's a '94 Si ABS, so it's not like I can do a GSR swap with some bolt ons and do low 14s.

I launched at 2k all day and just floored it and found a nice sweet spot
My vtec don't engage till 5500 so it compensated for the feathering id usually have to do launching at high rpms
for that whole week after i ran it i was depressed because everyone that heard I ran my car were like what u run low-mid 14s?? i would just put my head down and say nope 15.3 lol
If you think about it circuit could be just as strenuous for a car. Your oil is getting tossed all over your pan from the turn, chassis is getting twisted around turns and loosening it up, brakes are used constantly, and bushings get worn faster.
Drag your just putting a lot of stress on the transaxle
Camber Kills lol
I used to have a canon Power shot Sd1400Is 14.1 megapixels they're pretty cheap like 130-150 and really good for a point and shoot camera. i gave it to my gf and got me a canon 550d.
I know this isnt a pic of a eg hatch but its a pic of my old coupe i had i took the picture with that Canon Powershot i was telling u about. im not a camera expert but i liked it, looked pretty clear for a point and shoot
