Noob here...Some bada$$ cars you have, I really enjoyed checking out your pics. I hope to post a pic of mine soon. Been shopping around for an EG hatch (EH1 or 2, my first Honda), hope to have it in the garage by the end of next week. It's been pretty rough, I have trolled craigslist looking for the right car and come across a lot of failure in the last week or so. Been driving all over the SF bay area, heading out to the beautiful central valley tomorrow to look at more cars. Ebay is a joke, there is rarely more than 6 hatches listed at any given time, most are hack jobs or overdone. Any thoughts on where else to look?

I want a 5spd, clear title, no major body damage or mechanical issues, not too concerned about the trim level (VX or Si is preferred, makes a vtec swap a little easier). This will need to be my daily driver as well as a rolling project, the goal is to end up one day with a fire-breathing autocross rocket.

Thanks in advance for any advice, my search is pretty well stuck in a rut. Feels like I'm just driving around looking at other peoples garbage. I'd start a new thread for this but apparently cannot until I have made 5 posts and waited 15 days per board rules regarding noobs (I just registered today).

Pretty much all the people in this thread own a hatch. I have a hatch, s2000, and fit. Might be picking up a crv here shortly, we will see.

Compounded the hatch last night now time to wax it... the paint was oxidized really bad. Looks so much better now!

LMFAOOOOO X))))). and thats for the good tips guys. i willl deff be going with the bys if i do end up with the eg.gosh it looks so darn good! and the teal hatchy good call on being the only one ;P. i love being one of the only people running things. not hard where i live.

 

btw are itb's annoying to have? i love all motor but i hear they are uber loud and pain in the a hole. not that i care bout noise ima end up with a buddyclub spec 2 on my car lol

 

They can be a bitch to tune properly, but honestly it doesn't seem worth it with all the huge gains from custom IMs and big TB's (at least for Ks).

I have one of the only remaining EG hatches in my area, because they've all been stolen. Just having an EG hatch makes my entire car different.

 

That's my biggest fear honestly... it's why I have to have a garage and why I really can't enjoy my car to the fullest. It's almost enough to make me get rid of it all and get a Fit so I don't have to worry.
