Guys.... really. Every1 starts somewhere... be easy. This is what's wrong with the scene. Take it easy please +1 sir for doing everything yourself. Just make sure that before you do ONE mod you have an objective of how you want it to look in the end... otherwise the theme of the car gets lost in randomness and popping up w/ "cheap/free/easily attained" mods vs the mods that you really want to do. Good luck with the car.

 

 

No one was being hard. It always gets a little rougher when someone says "I don't like your car". He could have simply said Thats fine, Its my car... instead hes been going on a rant about how we're all followers. Thats when you just have to say to yourself, this guy is annoying, ignore him.

 

Hey, could you post some pictures of your sedan? I know its the hatch thread, but I have heard you talk about it, and I might have missed them when you posted them.

 

Read what I wrote carefully: Is this what YOU think an EG is supposed to look like? Is that really what fills your head when you daydream about getting parts for your car? Boat steelies? Bad fitting parts? Rat-rod approved paint job? If it is, cool. Just don't expect everyone to think "Wow, he's so creative going outside the box! Kudos to him!"

My critique was nice, he went "hater", not anyone else.

I don't post pics of my car really since I really don't care to hear the "you got a K but only have rotas??!?11?" comments. But that's me. Plus, I build my car for me and I don't really care what anyone else thinks. I'm the one that has to drive it. But that mentality comes with age and experience honestly.

My last car was a turd with rust, shitty paint, decent interior, a B16A and lacking any "style". I wanted to build this car backwards and do everything but a swap first. Now the car is ready for a swap and funds are $0, so it will probably be a long while before I get a swap....

 

Nothing wrong with a single cam IMO

I get the same thing all that money/time into the car and turbo kit etc. and I still have "just an LS motor" lol

 

It's hilarious to watch people get all excited to come up to my car at shows and see what's under the hood only to have a face when they get to the front of the car haha. It is hilarious to watch people do it over and over ALL day at shows. I think most of them are people that have seen it before and are hoping when they get to the front of the car that I have swapped it finally, only to be let down by the same old SOHC.

i wish i had a sohc in my EG at times...my ITR motor gets **** for gas mileage on 94 octane

 

I generally hate mud guards but that hatch looks pretty good. I wonder what spoiled that is, I kinda like the rake on it.

Looks like its phantom gray but then again it seems to have a blue hue to it. Could be a toyota color. Graphite gray pearl is similar.

 

That's close to the color I want. The mica gray pearl from Lexus/Toyota.
