((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
I am not tech support - I support Dept of Defense warfighter applications (GCCS , TBMCS, JOPES, etc). My customers are machines, not people. If my stuff is broken people die. Sucks having a job where you can leave in handcuffs but it supports my car (crack) habit. LOVE THAT PIC. Your brother should be doing very well for himself... we start at about 75k right out of college ... I have been doing it since 1997. I.T is an awesome career choice... unless if you like to sleep. LOL. Sleep - I read about it somewhere, would be a kool idea to try sometime.
Haha, you're right. He works way too much, funny thing is before he got serious about his career, he slept ALL day. Now he's a dang zombie.
For the "newer" style all clears - hit up Andy's and search through his dealers - you wanna search for one that has the SMALLEST reflector embedded in.

They will ALL have some kind of reflector in them these days (thanx to the D.O.T) - but you can pop them out or cut them out. (use a product called a Hot-Knife ... available at craft stores and Hobby-Shops).
And honestly, the D.O.T isn't the ONLY reason why these went away. If you bought a pair back then it'd say "off road use only" - that effectively was a way for the manufacturers to side-step the D.O.T. What started happening was ricers would run regular white taillight bulbs out back... when they hit the brakes the lights were WHITE. LOL - the law states that lighting should illuminate RED. To fix it - you had to buy a red stoplight (HARD TO FIND IN THE MID 90s for a Honda... and pretty expensive when you did find them). But that was okay b/c the ricer aftermarket came to our rescue with the red bulb-covers... covers got their 13 minutes of fame b/c ricers were getting pulled over for having white stop lights :

These were a great idea in the package, but too bad they looked more like pink - and the lighting was never consistant. Also they'd pop off and fall inside of the taillight and you STILL had a white stop light. LOL. Add that to the fact that after a coupla months your "all clears" turned yellow with the sun, and collected water in the rain their time was short-lived.
I'd be impressed for some1 to pull off that look today and make it work, but it's possible.

Some throwbacks to a couple years ago. The only thing that has changed is the engine bay and now I have Aerocatch pins. Oh yeah, it doesn't run anymore either.....

lmao tru that.. i think they look like some cheapos from wal mart that don't sit flush.. unless i see a set that actually sorta look factory, are lit with LED's, or don't look like cheap plastic. not really interested.. i do like the clear on white as far as color combos go tho.. just my opinion
Whiteslips do you have an oem bonnet too? I dont think I can remember pics of your car with a red bonnet? hmm.
I think it would look just as nice with a matched bonnet for a fresh changeup after the years

I like clear tails like how I like Super Nintendo, brings back good old memories. It's funny I bought a Super Nintendo after I bought my EG because I had always wanted an EG when I was young, and I had a Super Nintendo back then too. My dream car when I was 13 was a 92-95 Civic EX Coupe with a B16A....and a Ferrari F355 Berlinetta. The end.
** giggles ** That'd be a cool motorsports T-shirt. Clear tails on top - Nintendo on the bottom... with words in the middle that read "Old Skool B*tches"
Thanks bro.. Me eather I got the car already painted but was bone stock.. It's gona get riped apart in the next month, gona re-do everything
I need a little advice. I'm going to be getting quotes to start my body work in the next month (well, after the holidays) and I'm trying to keep the cost of it all...within reason (not, cheap, just not insane).
I've been wanting to do a color change (my 95 Si is white) but I'm not really looking forward to gutting my car and having to get nutty with bagging and tagging. Is a color change where they do door jambs and possibly my hatch floor worth it or will it just be "cheap looking"? I plan on pulling my motor so the bay will be done as well if that helps.
If the above can't be done correctly, then I'm just going to have the white re-done and clean up here and there.
So if you have any experience with paint and body or have seen the out come of what I'm talking about, speak up.
Thanks,
Steve
