Formula, it's hard for me to come up with my own ideas for my hatch after seeing yours because if I could do anything I wanted to mine it would look just like yours. I snowboard so I would have the Yakima rack too. And the RNRs don't have some crazy offset, but look like a perfect upgrade from OEM, and all the OEM bits are just gravy. That's what your hatch is man, Gravy.

My right rear brake is seizing up and so I'm driving but the car is braking a bit. So I suppose I need new calipers and I figure I need new pads anyways. So Im thinking of going with Hawks because its the only brand I've heard of honda guys using.

Is that what I should get? Should I do all 4 sides or just the rears (discs) and around how much is it for brake pads and calipers on all sides?

The fronts will seize soon...

Thanks bros

I have HAWK pads and they are nothing to write home about, they fade and they are too dusty... My friend put brand new OEM pads on his car and they dont fade (Driving on the Street) and they bite very well.

CARLOS.... Whats up dude... Ure Car is still one of my Favorites, cant wait to see it again.

That means a lot coming from you man! The plan is to keep the outside exactly the way it is now and just clean up everything underneath and inside to make it nice and clean and new.

Can't wait to see the new pics, your car is super clean.

I just ended up replacing the slide pins on my rear calipers. They were seized in their bores, and were hard to get out, but it's much less expensive than buying a new caliper. But if it's your piston that's seized, I would just buy a new caliper instead of overhauling your old one.

I recommend Genuine Honda brake pads. Seriously. The last a very long time and brake very well. They're not too expensive either. You'll save money buying them from Majestic Honda. www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. I bought all 4 pads for under $100.

if you replace the calipers go with Autozone ones, the reason i say this is they have a lifetime warranty on them. so if the ever lock up again then you just take them back and get new ones.

if you want a nice alternative to Hawk for street use, try the Project Mu B-Force pads. i use them on the street and they bite better than OEM but are still quiet and low dust.

I heard through the grapevine it is the cluster wiring harness where it grounds to the dash structure. I'm going to check it out tonight and see what I can find out. I had my dash replaced after vandalism a few years ago and I'm wondering if the body shop that did the work didn't put that ground back on properly.

Do you run the HPS or the HP+? I've had two sets of HPS, (fronts, rears are just DuraLast pads) and really don't get that much dust...and I beat on my car year-round.

Rotten Egg, there's a DC2 with the same paint scheme as your old EG. Blue (not Captiva though) with yellow TEs. FYI

To be completely honest, I'm not sure... They came on my 5 lug when I got it... I'll have to go look and get back to you.

The HP+ is more of a track pad and is known to dust alot. That might be why they seem to fade on you...because they don't get hot enough on the street. Do they make noise too?
