I use adjustable pliers to hold the rod and a box end wrench to get the nut off. If you can't get the nut all the way off due to the spring being uncompressed you probably need to go to your local autozone, o'reillys whatever and rent some spring compressors.
thanks whiteslips. i got it. the red adjustable plastic thing pulls off and theres a place to put the alan head. now i have another problem i put the coilovers on (ebay i know i know). but i set the coils all the way down and it still is like a inch above the tire. i put my hand on the coilover when the car was on the ground and i can more it up and down a lot....why?
do i need to take out that black metal thing that is in the middle of the spring that is on the rod?

No need to hate. HE wanted the K swap, he spent HIS money on HIS K-swap, so who cares how much power it makes. A K-Swap on stock tune will undoubtedly be more reliable than a D-Series on boost untuned. Please don't let this continue in to a pissing contest or I will have my mod friend edit some posts. Thanks.
And
for being a little sissy "gunna call the big bad mod." Give me a break dude. Man up, the guy can answer on his own-- and how immature do you have to be to think I was hating on him?
rclark
im just modest and dont pretend, it will hopefully make more than that when its tuned its just not a priority to make big numbers
i took it to nyc today and loved it, tho its way too loud with the spec2

I have no doubt it will! If you have the money K is certainly a better platform, but I think you should go all out with it!
yea only had the car 10 months now and i got it as a stolen recovery, almost at 20k for the build so far. im sure if i wanted it to be ugly and stupid fast i could have but i covered the whole car first. maybe next year a 300+ 24 will be sittin in there lol
Thanks, yeah I'm glad I did it, the grills look more functional black, even though they're not. Masking them took forever though, about 30 minutes each. The rear bumper wasn't too bad, although it was still hard to get a perfect straight line on a curvaceous surface. More engine pics next weekend, hopefully I'll be done with what I'm working on! 無限

Wish i had that kinda money! haha, either way you should easily be able to make more than 240whp on a STOCK k20 with good tuning (from what i understand) so I think you will be happy with your numbers.
