ok so i found THE problem with the car and why it wouldnt go in gear....

but im gonna make you guys guess.

i bought a new cable. so it isnt that, the car drove fine before it was parked and disassembled and sat for 3-5 months. i get it in the new car, it starts fine, clutch pedal goes down, cable pulls the trans to where it needs to be, but it wont go in gear. it makes the sound as if you didnt have the clutch in.

whoever guesses it right gets a cookie.....its the craziest thing ive ever seen lol

typical problem


installed the throw out bearing backwards either that or the spring that holds it in place

the clutch disc was RUSTED to the flywheel it took all of me and my buddies strength to rip it off. aquired an exedy stage 1 clutch, and am getting the flywheel resurfaced....

by the time im done with this car ALL the parts will be brand new
