The EF sQuad Thread
For ALLLL you JDM front'ers out there, You ever noticed how your old front end uses the head light bulb style (9006/9005)? And when you converted to the JDM bulbs which uses single bulb with dual filament H4H bulbs you had to cut your stock harness and install the pigtail harness that came with your conversion. well i bet when you connected the low beam, high beam and ground wire to where they would normally go to the H4h pigtail harness , you thought everything was a go.
Not quite done yet, well thing is, when you have your LOW beam on, and you are in need of your high beams, you turn it on. Sure it works. BUT the thing is that the high beam is on WHILE the low is on as well!! This in fact will cause your precious H4h bulb to burn out quite sooner than you would think.(10-15 minutes of lifetime)
Now, typically, the normal way of a dual filament bulb works is that when low beams are on and you turn on the high beam, the low beams cuts off and the high beam turns on.
Have you guys ever noticed this problem? I am making a product that will fix this problem and was wondering if anyone would be interested. of course, i will supply them for a fair price and as we all know, the crx/civic community is always trying to save a buck or two.
I will make a pair of harness that will not cause you to cut your oem stock 9006/9005 harness. all plug and play.
if you have already cut out your oem harness, its okay. i can supply them without the plugs and sell them for a cheaper price.

goog thing is the ef2 conversion uses its own high beam socket, and low beam socket.
h4 for low beams
h1 for low beams
even though there are people that hate i still do it:
wish i was able to source the little plastic tabs that hold the bumper to the fenders, my conversion never came with them.usdm ones still dont allow to pull the bumper from sagging
I have a wink mirror too, they sell the window mounting kit so you can still use your oem visors. it mounts directly to the window with a glue and special mounting hardware, also comes off easy if you want to.
