I owned the REAL chargespeed wing. Purchased direct from Chargespeed.
The black on is a fake. The one I have right now is a J's racing wing which is one of the same from the chargespeed since J's racing copied chargespeed.
I have pictures of the real chargespeed wing.

not really reshape
its just needs the wing to fir the open space on the wing.
once mounted and screwed down it will hold its form. The underbelly is the ony thing that tends to stay a lil "warped" if thats what its called. But the last wing I didn't mount from the under belly. I only used double sided tape on the top

IMO I love the look of the wing. But it seems like none of them fit properly. If j's and chargespeed built those wings is it possible they knew that the fit wasn't perfect? Are there any differences between the two? And lastly are there different generations of the wing? Really want to buy one but wary of whats out there> PICS please

I've never noticed a problem with the fitment. I'll try to dig up some more pics.

nope there was no two different generations.
Althought I haveheard of some that don't have the cut out hole for the long LED. I haven't confimed it yet.
My chargespeed did fit kinda crappy on the edges but like i said i was using double sided tape and didn't go all out the make sure it was properly installed. As long as it didn't fly off on the free way I didn't care back then. This time i will do it right. It may have made a difference because i didn't use the JDM EF9 wing with either wing either.

I don't know if it was supposed to sit like that on the edge or go inbetween the trunk and rear panel but I just left it that way

I held mine up over the stock wing. I'll have to trim some of the window trim, but other than that, it should fit perfect.

Looks good. What size/offset are those? I plan on getting those tires, not sure what wheels, but similar offset would be perfect.

It appears to fit better because it is not a "complete" wing. Meaning if you layed a 8x10 piece of paper over a 8x10x5 solid piece of wood of course its going to appear as if it fit perfectly over the block of wood because it not completelty surrounding the block of wood.
Same thing with the wing.
that black fake one is just a piece of paper basically over the wing. so its has little room to make the wing complete.
Once I have some time I will properly install the wing on my wing along with showing some easy ways to install the LED w/out having to purchase a JDM wing.

if you guys like I can word from a Chargespeed rep to confirm or not if the black one in question is a "first generation" wing or just a copy. Make take some time. I'll also work on asking J's racing to find out too, just so we can set the lil debate aside.

real or fake its all about fitment and detail and j's is fake its a copy of chargespeed so its not so jdm its fake just like the jdmcarboy will be the same in carbonfiber but fake. it doesnt matter if its real or fake it matters how it fits.

but lets set the deabate aside and post mor pics of the grey ef9

plus he was saying he purchased the wing like 3 years ago and it costed him $390...and I know thats a lie because the wing never costed that much. I got mine back in 2005 and it was $250 and thats the price from Chargespeed website. But ohwell

nothing fiberglass fits perfect though
thats from lips, the side skirts to wings/spoilers.
sometime you get lucky with a good batch that came out.

This argument is rediculous. I test fitted mine and it was perfect. I don't see what the problem is.

If you people want to pay MORE for a fake one, missing the whole bottom half, go for it, I don't care.
